Ayade, who pulled the ‘poor-card’ by saying he will be the first son of a poor man to govern the state, vowed to create an agenda that focuses on the poor people of Cross River, Ynaija reports.

Speaking with newsmen in Calabar after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral commissioner in charge of Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, Mrs Thelma Iremiren, Ayade said he will create a new agenda that is friendly to the people of Cross River state.
“We shall, with this opportunity afforded us by the people, create a new agenda, an agenda that focuses on the poor by making the means of production easy and affordable to move our people forward,” he said.
Meanwhile, Professor Ben Ayade, who won on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has also appealed to the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, to avoid marginalization.
