Two of the fixtures are a repeat of the 2013/14  season as Barcelona defeated Manchester City and Real Madrid saw off the threat from Schalke. Arsenal gets a fairly easy draw in a long time and will face French giants, Monaco. Chelsea squares up with Zlatan Ibrahimovich-led Paris Saint-Germain, while Italian league winners, Juventus  faces Borussia Dortmund. La Liga champions Athletico Madrid faces Bayer Leverkusen while Swiss club Basel lock horns with Porto.
It will be recalled that a 23-man shortlist for the 2014 Ballon d’Or was released by world football governing body FIFA along with France Football magazine last month.
