Washington Posts reports that, during a summit, president of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) and the NGO Rev, Harry Knox explains his fears on the trauma faced by these young women.
“Women are dying now. Families are being pushed further into poverty now because this care is not available to them,” said Knox who co-hosted the summit with Centre for Health and Gender Equity.

He also argued that when Nigerian, Iraqi, Yazidi and Syrian women are systematically raped, the abortions that they might seek afterwards are not for “family planning purposes.”
However, there has been wide spread criticism of this law and world leaders including clerics have charged President Barrack Obama to change the helm amendment which forbids foreign aid money to fund abortion overseas unless a woman’s life is at risk.
The religious leaders which include Christian, Muslim and Jewish leaders met at St John’s Episcopal Church, directly opposite the White House to ensure that there is post-rape care which includes abortions for victims of rape.

It would be recalled that thousands of girls and women are currently abducted by various terrorist groups around the world including over 200 girls captured in their school in the North Eastern part of Nigeria over a year ago by Boko Haram
