Jamie Vardy will have significant salary
According toThe Guardian, Leicester City sensation Jamie Vardy has signed a new contract that will expire only in 2019.
The source also reports that Vardy, who currently earns £40,000 a week on a deal that has the best part of two and a half years to run, has been given a significant salary hike as a reward for his remarkable progress.
In May 2012, Vardy signed for Leicester City in the Football League Championship for a non-league record transfer fee of £1 million, and represented the club in the Premier League after winning the Championship in 2014. Vardy made his international debut for England in 2015.
England striker Jamie Vardy has broken former Manchester United star Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s Premier League record by scoring in an 11th consecutive top flight game.
Taking to Instagram to congratulate Vardy on his new feat, former record holder Ruud Van Nistelrooy wrote: “Well done vardy7! You’re number one now and you deserved it.”
The former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has explained that Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy will succeed anywhere.
Mourinho said:  “He is top scorer and it is normal that big clubs want him. Even at a big club transitions are important, fast players are important, people to attack space behind defenders are important.”
“Obviously in the big teams sometimes we face very low blocks where technical players to play in the box are very much needed, but I think a fast player with objective and being direct can have success everywhere,” he added.
