It was a night of fun, frenzy and energetic dance as the 2015 Miss Grand Nigeria emerge at a keenly contested beauty pageant where brain and beauty was a major player.

Though the event started hours behind schedule, it was a night well spent as 13 bevies of beauty stroll down the runway in their majestic manner such that the judges had a task deciding who the winner will be.

The judges included Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, media guru Olisa Adibua, Sola Balogun who is reputed to have taken the pictures of celebrated models in Nigeria.

Miss Akwa Ibom, Abia, Edo, Lagos, Plateau, Rivers, Cross River and Miss Kaduna made it to the top eight after which the contestants were reduced to five with Miss Abia , Edo, Rivers, Lagos and Plateau.

Miss Edo emerged as the second runner and she will among other things represent Nigeria at the Miss Grand ECOWAS, while a surprised Miss Plateau won the crown with Miss Abia coming behind her as the second runner-up.
Many were taken aback by the quality of contestants at the pageant especially being the maiden edition as some of the contestants were graduates and one of them, Miss Abia, a master degree holder.
The contestants even wow the audience the more when they appeared in the scintillating bikini wear.
Other trophies won at the pageant include Best evening gown and best traditional attire trophy which was lifted by Omoye Loveth Zibir who represented Cross River state. The people’s choice queen was a keen contest between Theresa Chindinma Nwagulu, Miss Anambra, and Fumnaya Victoria Okafor, Miss Abia, but Miss Anambra won by the whiskers, while Miss Edo won the best presentation trophy.
In all it was a well packaged event with the weird one, Denrele Edun bringing up is weirdness from the red carpet to the stage.
About the queen:
The 22-year-old Miss Ifeoma Jennifer Ohia with a stunning statistics of 32-28-34 emerged the winner. She will be representing Nigeria at the Miss Grand International in October at Bangkok, Thailand. She will cart away a brand new car and the sum of N1 million naira.
And their journey to Nollywood begins as the was able to put a smile on every of the contestants’ faces, as she offered them all a role in her forthcoming movie.
The event was anchored by popular on air personality Olabisi Omidire of Eko FM and Kenneth Okoli Mr Nigeria 2010 and the first runner-up Mr World.
