Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Boyfriend Denies Causing Her Death in New Court Papers

Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown, denies causing the death of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown‘s daughter in court papers filed Tuesday, People reports.

Gordon has been slapped with a $10 million lawsuit by Bedelia C. Hargrove, Brown’s court-appointed conservator, who claims that Gordon “gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water” on Jan. 31, the day that Brown was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home.

After fighting for her life for six months, Brown, who was placed in a medically induced coma, died on July 26.

According to Hargrove’s complaint, Brown arrived home around 6 a.m. on the morning of Jan. 31, 2015, after partying “all night on a cocaine and drinking binge” and grew angry after reviewing camera footage.

After accusing Brown of being unfaithful, the lawsuit claims, Gordon called her a “whore” and “bitch.”

Hargrove has also claimed that Gordon was physically abusive to Brown, and improperly funneled Brown’s money into his own accounts.

In Tuesday’s response to the lawsuit, Gordon denies the vast majority of the claims made in Hargrove’s complaint, including that he gave her a toxic cocktail. The answer to the complaint does allow that Gordon and Brown “had an argument” after Gordon returned home and reviewed video footage.
The answer also says that Gordon unsuccessfully tried to perform CPR on Brown.
Gordon’s attorneys, Joe Habachy and Jose Baez, have slammed Hargrove’s lawsuit as “slanderous and meritless,” adding, “Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly.
