‘Ebube’ is the tale of a family in shambles owing to many cracks the couple has failed to mend.
The wife is inattentive to details – She doesn’t make her family any home-made meals, neither is she available to satisfy her husband’s cravings. She plays a shoddy role at being a wife and mother. Tragic.

Charles –the husband– is detached and doesn’t communicate duly with the kids. He is in a real fix, and doesn’t hide this at the family’s dinner table, nor from the kids.
Once, he tried to make love to his wife but meets a brick wall of an excuse; she feigns disinterestedness and blames it on work and fatigue. The suspense builds a bit when she storms out their bedroom upon refusing his advances.
He returns her gesture at the garage as they ready for work but her tire is flat.

‘Ebube’ is a fairly good effort. In the closing parts of this clip, we see exactly how Mercy Johnson is the perfect person for the script. She nails her role expressly.
