LONDON (AP) — Prince Harry has honored Britons killed in attacks in Tunisia, sharing in the grief of survivors and loved ones during a solemn ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The service Tuesday included the lighting of 31 candles, one for each person who died in the Tunisian resort town of Sousse and at the Bardo Museum last year. The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the slayings.
Harry placed a wreath of white and yellow flowers at the Innocent Victims Memorial. The circular stone and slate memorial is devoted to victims of war, violence and oppression across the world. Survivors Richard Paciukanis, 60, and his wife, Bernadette, said they found the lighting of the candles "moving."

Hillary Clinton and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio sparked controversy at an event on Saturday with a racially charged joke.
Clinton and de Blasio were joined onstage by Leslie Odom Jr. in costume as Aaron Burr, whom he plays in the hit Broadway musical Hamilton. Clinton thanked de Blasio for his endorsement–which many pointed out came rather late in the game–and ribbed him, “Took you long enough.”
The mayor replied, “Sorry, Hillary, I was running on C.P. time.”
The abbreviation refers to the stereotype of “Colored People time,” and several people in the audience could be heard gasping or groaning. Odom, who is black and whom the New York Times suggests was in on the joke, rebuked him, saying, “I don’t like jokes like that, Bill.”
Clinton dryly replied, “Cautious politician time. I’ve been there.”
The exchange prompted pushback online, both from bloggers and social media users.
Clinton, who has performed well with black voters in early primaries, will depend on their votes in the New York primary on April 19.

Ashton Wilson seems just as unhappy as Future about the news.

Ciara and Russell Wilson's engagement has sparked a flood of congratulations from their friends and fans, but definitely some bitter feelings from their respective exes. We know how Ciara's former fiancé Future feels about the news, and now Wilson's ex-wife Ashton Wilson has reacted as well.

The former Mrs. Wilson (who apparently still hasn't changed her married name) took one look at the five-carat rock Russell gave Ciara and decided to change her Twitter profile picture to feature her own eight-carat engagement ring from Russell. Of course, those in the know about diamonds know that bigger doesn't always mean better.

“This is one incredible ring,” high-end jeweler David Harris tells Hollywood Life about CiCi's stone. “This brilliant cut solitaire is approximately 12 to 15 carats and looks to be a D through F colorless diamond, which means it’s a really good diamond. I would estimate the center stone to be worth between $2 and $2.5 million based on one which I recently sold to a very wealthy client.”

(Photo: Ashton Meem via Twitter
Russell popped the question to Ciara in Seychelles last week and the newly-engaged couple quickly shared the news on social media. "She said Yes!!! Since Day 1 I knew you were the one. No Greater feeling...," he wrote. Ciara captioned her own pic of the occasion, "I Feel Complete."
Russell and Ashton were high school sweethearts who were known as the First Family of Football (in Seattle, at least). They married in 2012 and shocked the NFL community by filing for divorce in 2014 under mysterious circumstances. A few months later, Ciara popped up on his arm at the White House. Mystery solved?

One thing's for sure, Russell has been practicing for his stepdad duties. Watch him bond with his future stepson Future Jr. with BET Breaks below:

NEW DELHI (AP) — India and France said Monday that they are close to sealing a multibillion euro agreement for New Delhi to purchase 36 Rafale fighter jets.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande made the announcement during a joint news briefing in the Indian capital. Hollande is on a three-day visit to India. Modi said an agreement between the governments has been reached, but some financial details still need to be sorted out. He said he hoped a commercial agreement will be finalized as soon as possible. Hollande said the final agreement could be achieved in a few days.
Modi announced India's intention to buy the Rafale jets, manufactured by Dassault Aviation, during a visit to Paris in April, touching off several rounds of negotiations over the price and details such as servicing.
The two sides were expected to sign a final agreement during Hollande's visit. Hollande is accompanied by the French ministers of defense, foreign affairs, economy and culture and dozens of top corporate leaders. On Monday officials from the two sides signed over a dozen agreements and issued a joint statement on fighting terrorism.
In the statement, the two countries "strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attacks that have struck many parts of the world recently." The French leader arrived Sunday in the northern city of Chandigarh, where Modi joined him and lauded France's decision to invest $1 billion every year in India in various sectors.
Chandigarh was designed in the 1950s by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier and is one of three places that France has pledged to help develop as so-called "smart cities" with clean water supplies, efficient sewage disposal and public transportation.
Hollande and French business leaders met with their Indian counterparts to boost bilateral trade, which in 2014 totaled $8.6 billion. France has also promised support for India's clean-energy quest, including a solar energy alliance launched last month during global climate talks held in Paris.
Later Monday, Modi and Hollande rode the Delhi Metro to the suburb of Gurgaon where they laid the foundation stone for the headquarters of the International Solar Allliance. On Tuesday, Hollande is to be a guest of honor at India's Republic Day parade, which celebrates 66 years since the country adopted its constitution.
LONDON (AP) — While the rest of her subjects call Queen Elizabeth II "Your majesty," her great-grandson knows her as "Gan-Gan." The Duchess of Cambridge reveals that tidbit in a television documentary celebrating the queen's 90th birthday to be broadcast on Britain's ITV channel over Easter. In her first solo interview since marrying Prince William in 2011, the former Kate Middleton says the queen is a doting great-grandmother to Prince George and Princess Charlotte and "she always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay."
"Our Queen at Ninety" also features interviews with the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry. The queen turns 90 on April 21, but her official party will take place in June with a celebration in London.

LONDON (AP) — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are embarking on what is seen as one of their most ambitious tours to date — taking in the Taj Mahal as well as visiting the Mumbai hotel targeted by gunmen in the 2008 attacks that killed 166 people.
Prince William and his wife, the former Kate Middleton, will visit the monument of love, the Taj Mahal, during the tour to India and Bhutan from April 10-April 16, Kensington Palace said Tuesday. The visit should have special resonance for William because his mother, the late Princess Diana, was photographed there alone — an image that came to underscore the breakup of her marriage with Prince Charles.
"He feels incredibly lucky to visit a place where his mother's memory is kept alive by so many who travel there," the Cambridges' communications secretary Jason Knauf said. "Twenty-four years on from her visit to the Taj, the duke and the duchess are looking forward to seeing this beautiful place for themselves and creating some new memories as they say thank you to the people of India at the conclusion of this tour."
The trip will also include a somber moment at the Taj Palace Hotel, one of the scenes of the Mumbai attacks. The royal couple will lay a wreath and meet members of the staff who helped protect guests during the attack.
The visit will be their first to India and Bhutan. They will not be taking their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The royal couple will also attend a Bollywood charity event and pay their respects to Mahatma Gandhi at the place where he was assassinated in 1948.
In a nod to William's conservation efforts, the couple will also travel to Kaziranga National Park in the state of Assam. The park is home to two-thirds of the world's population of Indian one-horned rhinos as well as endangered swamp deer.
In Bhutan, the couple will meet the king and queen of the small landlocked country in the shadow of the Himalayan peaks. The duke and duchess will hike five to six hours in total for a visit to Paro Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest monastery that dates to 1692.
NEW DELHI (AP) — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid their respects to Indian independence leader Mohandas K. Gandhi on Monday and met with young entrepreneurs in India's financial capital of Mumbai to speak with the country's next generation of business leaders.
On the second day of their weeklong royal tour of India, Britain's Prince William and his wife, the former Kate Middleton, placed a wreath and bowed their heads as they stood in front of a memorial for Gandhi in New Delhi. They then toured a museum near the spot where the independence leader was assassinated in 1948.
Prior to that, William and Kate laid a wreath at a memorial to honor Indian soldiers who had died in World War I. The royal couple spent the first part of the day in Mumbai, where they met with the young entrepreneurs and the venture capitalists likely to fund some of their enterprise ideas. Kate, dressed in a cream wool crepe outfit, smiled and waved at crowds of onlookers who had gathered outside the cafe where the meeting was held.
In the evening, the couple attended a garden party in New Delhi to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday, which is April 21. William addressed a large gathering of prominent Indians at the reception to speak about his grandmother, Britain's longest-reigning monarch.
The prince said his trip to India celebrated the link between Britain and India, which was part of the British empire before gaining independence in 1947. He also read out a message from Queen Elizabeth hailing the "enduring friendship, shared culture and business opportunities between the two countries."
William and Kate are traveling without their two children — 2 1/2-year-old Prince George and 11-month-old Princess Charlotte. They had taken George to Australia with them in 2014 on their last royal tour.
On Tuesday, the royal couple will sit down for lunch with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, before traveling to the Kaziranga National Park, home to two-thirds of the world's Indian one-horned rhinos, in the northeastern state of Assam.
They'll also take a one-day trip to neighboring Bhutan at the invitation of the Himalayan kingdom's King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema. William and Kate will then head back to India, where they'll wind up their tour with a visit to the Taj Mahal, retracing the steps of a 1992 visit to the monument of love by William's mother, the late Princess Diana.

The Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress have constituted a joint committee to pick a date for the planned national warning strike to protest against the increase in electricity tariff and alleged anti-Labour actions of the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.
The committee comprises the Presidents of the NLC and the TUC, Messrs Ayuba Waba and Bala Kaigama, respectively.
The President of the TUC, Kaigama, confirmed to our correspondent on the telephone that the TUC was planning the national warning strike alongside the NLC.
He said that the date for the strike would be picked by the joint committee of the two labour organisations most likely within the week.
Kaigama said that the organised Labour would also be protesting against the current fuel queues in the country.
The TUC president stressed that the actions of El-Rufai concerning the deduction of workers’ check off dues as well as the increase in electricity tariff and the long fuel queues in the country were unacceptable.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, had called on the organised labour to shelve the planned strike and protest, but Kaigama dismissed the call, saying the minister knew what to do about the issues.

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday declared the election in Gwagwalada, Kuje, Abuja Municipal and Kwali area councils of the Federal Capital Territory inconclusive.
At the Abuja Municipal Area Council collation centre, the Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Sunday Ododo, explained that the election in the area council was declared inconclusive because the total number of cancelled votes cast, 15,560, was more than the margin between the two leading political parties.     He said that while Mr. Abdullahi Halilu of the All Progressives Congress got 26,602 votes, Mr. Bitrus Tanko of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 21,230 votes, giving a margin of 5,372 votes.
“For a winner to emerge, the margin should be in excess of the number of votes cancelled,” Ododo said.
“If you compare the margin between the winning party and the runner up party is lesser to the number of voters who could not cast their vote.
“For this reason, the AMAC chairmanship election is hereby declared inconclusive until election is conducted in affected pulling units.”
Meanwhile, INEC declared the candidates of the APC winners of the chairmanship elections in Abaji and Bwari area councils.
In Abaji, APC’s Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya was declared winner by the INEC Returning Officer in the area, Mr. Bayo Emmanuel.
Emmanuel said the APC candidate polled 12, 793 votes against his opponent, the incumbent chairman of the council, Alhaji Yahaya Garba Gawu of the PDP, who got 10, 076 votes.
“The APC candidate having satisfied the requirements of the electoral law and scored the highest votes is hereby declared the winner of the April 9, 2016 Council election in Abaji,” he said.
In Bwari, INEC returned APC’s Musa Dikko as winner of the chairmanship election after he polled 18,066 votes, as against his closest rival, PDP’s Andrew Gwani’s 13,279 votes.
As soon as Dikko was declared winner of the polls, there was jubilation within the area as many youths said to be supporters of APC took to the streets.
Some of them who moved in convoy drove round streets such as the Sabon-road, Action layout and Kuduru road among others displaying the APC flags in the process.

Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump attend a news conference in New York, May 1, 2014. (Photo: Brendan McDermid/Reuters)Donald Trump’s three oldest children have campaigned with their father and served as surrogates during the presidential race. But only one of them is actually a member of the party Trump hopes to lead.Records from the New York State Board of Elections show that neither Ivanka Trump nor Eric Trump is enrolled in a political party. Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is a Republican. Both Eric and Ivanka Trump have also donated money to Democrats. Campaign finance reports show Eric gave $1,000 to Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., in 2010. Eric has made 11 other contributions totaling over $138,000 that all went to Republican candidates.Ivanka’s campaign contributions have a more bipartisan bent. Records show she has donated over $240,000 to both Democrats and Republicans. Ivanka has given money to Schumer, Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J.,, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Rep. Donald Norcross, D-N.J., District of Columbia Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, and Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential bid. On the Republican side, Ivanka has given money to the presidential campaigns of Mitt Romney and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. In 2010, Ivanka gave $2,000 to Carly Fiorina’s U.S. Senate campaign. Fiorina ran against Donald Trump in this year’s Republican primary and the pair had several contentious exchanges. Fiorina ended her presidential bid in February and endorsed another Trump rival, Sen. Ted Cruz last month. In addition to giving money to both Republican and Democratic candidates, Ivanka has donated to committees benefiting both parties.Neither Ivanka and Eric Trump responded to requests for comment from Yahoo News. The Trump campaign also did not respond to a request for comment. Along with Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric, Trump has two younger children. Tiffany Trump, 22, has not been as active in the campaign as her older siblings and Yahoo News could not find voting records for her. Trump’s youngest son, Barron, is just 10 years old.
New York State Board of Elections records show that both Trump and his wife, Melania, are members of the Republican Party. But Trump has a rather unusual relationship with the Republican Party, and has sometimes been at odds with the Republican National Committee. Like his daughter, Trump has given money to members of both parties.

Loyalty pledge? What loyalty pledge?
During CNN’s town hall event on Tuesday, all three remaining Republican presidential candidates effectively renounced the agreement they signed last fall to back the eventual GOP nominee.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Republican frontrunner Donald Trump’s unflattering tweets about his wife went too far.
“I’m not in the habit of supporting someone who attacked my wife and attacked my family,” Cruz said. “I think that is going beyond the line. I think our wives, I think our kids, should be off limits. They don’t belong in the attacks.”
“Listen, I’m not an easy person to tick off,” Cruz continued. “But when you go after my wife, when you go after my daughters, that does it. And I think — I want this race to stay focused on policy and issues and solutions to the real problems facing America. That’s where I’m going to stay focused. But if other candidates don’t, I think that’s beyond the pale.”
In September, the Republican National Committee made all of the GOP candidates sign a pledge to back the party’s nominee — a move that was seen at the time as a tool to prevent Trump from launching an independent bid.

“I [name] affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is,” the pledge read. “I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.”
“The best way for the Republicans to win is if I win the nomination and go directly against whoever they happen to put up,“ Trump said at the time. "And for that reason, I have signed the pledge.”
But on Tuesday, Trump said he would no longer pledge to support the party’s nominee because he’s "been treated very unfairly” by the Republican National Committee, the Republican Party and the GOP establishment.
The real estate mogul added that he doesn’t want Cruz’s support.
“I don’t want his support,” Trump said. “I don’t need his support.”
Ohio Gov. John Kasich said he probably shouldn’t have taken the pledge in the first place.
“Probably shouldn’t have even answered that question,” Kasich said. “If the nominee is somebody that I think is really hurting the country and dividing the country, I can’t stand behind them.”
One person Trump is pledging to stand behind: his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who was charged on Tuesday with assaulting a reporter following a press conference at Trump’s own country club in Jupiter, Fla., earlier this month.
“It would be so easy for me to terminate this man, ruin his life, ruin his family,“ Trump said, "ruin his whole everything and say, ‘You’re fired.’ OK, I’ve fired many people, especially on ‘The Apprentice.’”
“The problem is everybody dumps people when there’s a sign of political incorrectness,” he added. "I’m a loyal person. I’m going to be loyal for the country.”

prison.jpg
The Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza, has secured the release of 29 inmates of the Jimeta Prison in Adamawa State who were handed down sentences for various offences but could not pay their fines ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 Naira, as Christians celebrate Easter across the world.
The Bishop, in company of his legal team and other officials of the Church was received by the Deputy Comptroller of Prisons, Abu Sani, the Officer in Charge of Jimeta Prisons in Adamawa state.
In his address to those fortunate to be released, Bishop Mamza said that the gesture was in conformity with the declaration of Pope Francis that this year is a year of Mercy. He appealed to them to go and sin no more.
The Catholic Bishop also donated food items to the inmates of the Prison, which according to him is to identify with them during this Easter season marking the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
DCP Abu Sani, who received the items on behalf of the inmates, gave the assurance that the items will be used judiciously and not diverted.
DCP. Abu Sani, the officer in charge of the Jimeta Prison, in his remark also thanked the Catholic Bishop for the visit and assistance.
He however noted that the Prison facility has been overstretched due to the number of inmates in there custody, emphasizing that they are supposed to accommodate 300 inmates but now have over 700 inmates in their custody

The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, on Thursday in Abuja, said a Nigerian astronaut would land in space on or before 2030.
Onu made the assertion when the management team of the Defence Space Agency, led by the Director-General, Air Vice Marshal Victor Udoh, visited him.
“The space programme is very important for a country like Nigeria,” Onuh notes, adding that the Federal Government was putting all the structures on ground to ensure that Nigerian astronauts landed in space on or before 2030.
“The ministry will work very hard in the years ahead to strengthen all the structures of the agencies that will help us to ensure that the nation plays a role in the space,” he said.
He said the ministry would intensify efforts to ensure that all the arrangements needed were provided.
According to him, the space “is a major asset which nations like Nigeria must also be involved in for the purposes of protecting national interest.”
Onu assured the team that the ministry would support and work with the agency in the best interest of the nation.

Easter-e1427190346683
Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has called on Christians across the country to use the Easter celebration to pray for sustainable peace and economic growth in the country.
Saraki in his message to mark the Easter festivities being held in commemoration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ by Christians across the world, said it is imperative for all Nigerians to borrow a leaf from the humility and sacrifice exhibited by Christ when he yielded his life for the redemption of mankind.
The Senate President in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, commended the Christian community for their fast and prayers during the Lenten season and urged them to sustain the tempo for the continued peace and unity of the nation.
He reminded the Christian faithful of the need to remain steadfast and always promote religious harmony between and among various groups as a panacea for developing the nation.
He also commended the Federal Government for the significant increase in the level of security across the country in recent times, and called on the security agencies to redouble their efforts to once again ensure a smooth and hitch-free Easter celebration.
“Even though we still have a long way to go in restoring full security across the country and ensuring the safe return of our Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their local communities, let us be rest assured that the end to insurgency and mindless attacks unleashed on innocent Nigerians in some sections of the country by the Boko Haram insurgents is in sight,” Saraki said.
“This is the more reason I urge all Nigerians irrespective of region, religion and ethnic affiliation to increase their support for the efforts of the Federal Government aimed at nipping the menace of Boko Haram and all other noticeable shades of criminality in the bud for good and in the shortest possible time,” he stated.
He, however, assured that the National Assembly would continue to make legislations, including the review and amendment of existing ones, to boost security, create conducive business and investment environment, support the fight against corruption and block leakages in the system to bring about desired economic buoyancy in the country.

Yakubu Dogara
Speaker of the House of Representatives, on Friday felicitated with the Christian faithful on the occasion of Easter.
According to a statement issued by Mr Turaki Hassan, Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the Speaker, in Abuja, Dogara called on Christians to use the Easter period to pray for the restoration of peace and economic stability in the country.
He said that Easter symbolised sacrifice and service to God and country, and therefore, urged Nigerians to emulate the life of Jesus Christ who laid down his life for mankind.
The speaker also urged Nigerians to be their brothers’ keeper and make necessary sacrifices for their fellow country men and women.
“Times are hard, our country is going through difficult times occasioned by economic downturn. Government alone cannot do it.
“Our contemporary challenges require that we persevere in our prayers for leaders at all levels and the country for divine wisdom to enable us surmount them.
“This time calls for more patience, sacrifice, prayers and a renewed hope in the Nigerian nation.
“We have passed through even more difficult situations before, this too shall pass away, so long as we remain steadfast in our prayers for leaders and the country,” Dogara said.

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe is one actress who is known for her fantastic acting skills which has garnered her lots of awards.
In a recent chat with Punch the mother of two spoke about her acting career and her marriage.
Read the excerpts below:
In the last few years, you have attained new heights in your career. Some of your fans are of the opinion that you no longer fit into the Yoruba genre.
Some people write to me and   request that I should feature in more English movies because they believe that only then will I gain more acceptance and recognition. My fans believe I’m not being appreciated in my sector.
Will you eventually stop acting Yoruba movies?
I can never stop acting Yoruba movies because that industry made me who I am today. As a matter of fact, a lot of people don’t know I am from Edo State. When I began featuring in Yoruba films, I wasn’t speaking the language flawlessly, so I had to learn on the job. My industry is very accommodating and that is why I would always be grateful to them for accepting me and giving me a platform to excel. I also produced a movie titled Osas in order to connect with my  Benin roots.
What roles can’t you take up even if the price is right?
I can never act nude because it is against our culture and my beliefs.
On How Supportive Her Husband Is Of Her Career:
”Whenever I am overwhelmed with my business, career and family, he is always there to encourage me. He always recommends that I keep pushing.”
On If He Is Comfortable With The Romantic Scenes She Takes Part In:
”Yes, he is and I actually kiss in my movies. I was already an actress before I met my husband and he goes through my scripts. Sometimes, he chastises for not kissing well in a movie. I could be on set for a week or more and he does not make an issue out of it. I know I married my friend and he is very understanding.”
On Keeping Her Home:
”It hasn’t been easy and this is actually my second marriage. Before I got married to my present husband, I asked God to make this my second and last marriage because I want to stay married. Our marriage is under scrutiny all the time and a lot of people just want to find faults even when there are no faults. My previous marriage taught me to be more patient, tolerant and prayerful.”
