Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has finally reacted to the alleged report that her husband impregnated another woman.
She shared her first post on social media since news broke that her man of 12 years, Maje Ayida, who she got married to 18 months allegedly got his former lover, Anita Solomon, pregnant.
Instead of denying the report, she took to her Instagram page to post a photo which suggest she was referring to whats presently happening to her and her husband.
This post got lots of reactions as fans of the vlogger try to console her, telling her to be strong.See some of the reactions below:

The 18-months-old marriage of popular Nigerian radio personality, television host and vlogger, Toke Makinwa is in troubled waters.

The 30-year-old beautiful woman known for co-hosting The Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM got married to her on and off boyfriend, Maje Ayida(who is also a health instructor) in a surprise wedding in 2014.  The wedding, came as a surprise to many because it happened at a time when every onlooker taught they might be parting away.

Yesterday, reports made it known that Maje Ayida has impregnated his former girlfriend, Anita Solomon and she  is currently in the UK to deliver their baby. According to Stella Dimorkokorkus, Anita is partly a Lebanese and partly Calabar. Anita is also a lawyer who runs a beauty salon in Calabar. Ayida and Anita have been in a relationship for the past 8 years but broke off briefly when he got married to Toke.

An anonymous source who confirmed to Stella Dimorkokorkus made it known that  Maje is the sole sponsor of Anita’s multi million salon in Calabar. He is said to frequent Calabar just to see Anita always.has been making trips to the state to visit her. Confirming the story, the anonymous source said:
‘‘It’s so true!!!!!!!! 100% confirmed. Anita is in UK to have Maje’s baby. I visited her Aunty and they confirmed she’s pregnant for a married man from Delta,one Maje.They are so disappointed in her because he left her and got married to Toke and came back to side chick her.Family say they dated for about 8years….”
This news has made ‘Toke’ the number one trending topic on Twitter Nigeria. While some of her fans are very angry with her husband for impregnating an ex, some called out the vlogger who vlogs mostly  about topics on how to keep hold of your man. Toke Makinwa has however not said a word about the story.
There are unconfirmed reports that the beautiful vlogger has been aware of all these happenings because her husband was said to have been dating Anita alongside herself at the same time. It was made known that the vlogger who made it known on her twitter account sometime back that she and her husband her not ready for babies, has been trying to have a baby for Ayida. The baby, Toke Makinwa thinks might saved her from the extra marital relationships.

The Headies Awards 2014 has come and gone, but Style Magazine (Thisday Pull-out) writer, Ms. Azuka Ogujiuba decided to take popular On-Air-Personality,  Toke Makinwa to the cleaners with her observations.
Makinwa and Basketmouth hosted the award event even though Bovi was initially penciled down for the award night but was absent.

For me as a journalist, if l am to pick any of the known on-air personalities to interview then Toke Makinwa will never make number 50 on my list because l don’t know what she wants to tell the world about her career and personal life again.

Her life is practically on the social network but it is truly her choice. There is no doubt that she works hard and can be aggressive. She probably wants to be the most popular radio personality and, of course, probably has to add the ‘fake it till you make it’ attitude into everything she does. Her strategy is working for her. I actually used to think Toke was so loved and revered by her fans until she co-hosted the 2014 HEADIES awards.
Initially, l thought she had butterflies in her stomach, because l have been a victim before, when l had to present an award to the family of the late Dagrin, who died a month before the award in 2010. When l saw the crowdwatching me on stage l was scared and immediately became dumb, l was so overwhelmed by stage fright that D1 came to my rescue. Through that short time the crowd booed me off the stage, and it should be worse for a wanna-be ‘Celebrity’ like Toke whom l used to think has more fans than the likes of Funke Akindele, Tuface, Genevive Nnaji and co, because that is how Toke Makinwa rates herself. Maybe she thinks she falls in the category of A-list celebrities. Well, to some people she might be.

She almost cheapened and marred the show with her dry jokes and her ‘fakeness’, trying to be who she is not. l think Animashaun imagines his event as a huge joke that was why he opted for Toke. The fact that Toke presents ‘Trends’ does not mean she has the capability to host such a big show and a large crowd. And the crowd was not merciful at all, as the audience made Toke realise she was not wanted on stage; nobody replied her calls or laughed at her jokes. They just wanted her out of the stage every time she came out in any of her horrible outfits which, as usual, were given to her free by designers, who also have fallen prey to her ‘fakeness’. The response was so bad that at a point l felt so sorry for her. Less l forget, l also wore an outfit courtesy of KinaButi to the awards night.
Her second outfit was a sequin jump suit, which got the audience laughing when she walked up the stage. l didn’t see her at first because I was actually chatting on my blackberry phone, but the laughter from the crowd made me look up quickly. People talked openly not caring who was listening, and l heard from the seat behind me someone asking ‘Why is this girl fooling herself? What nonsense is she wearing and why would she wear a ‘Padded Butt’ in this kind of outfit? Another said she looked like she wore pampers, and the comments and laughter at Toke’s foolery went on and on.
And l just thought to myself who is actually her stylist? Who is doing this to Toke? Or is she her own worst enemy? She made it worse when she tried to thrill the crowd with the various dance steps which she did badly as the crowd continued to bully and boo her. It was so hard not to laugh, as she kept making jest of herself on stage. Toke invited Julius Agwu on stage to assist her in dancing shoki, and Julius Agwu flawed and also threw jibes at her and her ugly/funny jumpsuit. It was then with the large crowd that l realised Toke has this ‘we love to hate you kind of personality’.
She’s liked as much as she’s disliked and draws negative and controversial attention. In a way, l think she loves anything negative or positive as long she is seen on the pages of newspapers, magazines and for her stories to be on the blogs. For people like Toke any publicity is cool as long people know or read about her. As long as it makes her join the league of ‘celebrity world’ she does not care.
Her third outfit was made in adire with a funny big bow. It was equally ugly and drab; I don’t know which designer made the outfit and, the fourth outfit reminded me of a turkey for thanksgiving. l don’t understand the dress or is it the feathers? Biko, who is her stylist, l ask again and, the exchange of wigs, was that really necessary?
During the awards, she did everything she could to make the crowd happy but they were very hostile to her, to the extent that at one point she had to plead with the crowd to accept and laugh at her jokes or even applaud her efforts to make them enjoy the show, but the crowd still ignored her until Basketmouth as usual came to her rescue. Even her jokes at Basketmouth’s marriage was quickly hushed and halted by him.

The truth is Toke Makinwa has no business hosting the show, because her presence almost marred the event. She is what people in the crowd described as ‘a die-hard wanna-be’ and it is working for her l guess. And her accent is a gist for her another.
Ogujuiba hit the nail on the head when she described Toke Makinwas as fake, but unfortunately, this ‘fakeness’ is very prominent in today’s entertainment industry. Last year, the OAP denied rumours that surfaced on the internet that she was pregnant.

The beautiful woman, who has not been debarred from posting photos of herself on Instagram since the news broke has however not said anything concerning the speculated marital challenges. This has however made fans of the OAP to keep on speculating whether it truly happened or not.

Muhammadu Buhari, who will turn 73 in December, admitted on June 15, Monday, that age would limit his performance as Nigeria’s president.
The politician made a confession in South Africa after the African Union Summit end, The Punch reports.
Buhari lamented that he he had not become country leader when he was younger.
“I wish I became head of state when I was a governor, just a few years as a young man. Now at 72, there is a limit to what I can do.”
However, he assured people that despite age, his administration would bring positive change.
Recall that before the presidential polls many blasted the All Progressives Congress candidate over contesting for the position at his elderly age. Some attacks were really aggressive containing that Buhari might die in office, like Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
In the course of his Johannesburg address, the president reiterated his commitment to the ideas of the APC election campaign.

“Our government is determined to secure the country, manage the economy, create employment and fight corruption. Some articulate writers have said if we do not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria. This APC administration intends to kill corruption in Nigeria. We will do our best, I assure you.”
Buhari reproached those accusing him of “locking them up” that he was also jailed.
“After being in the military for 25 years, and getting to the highest rank and becoming Head of State and under unusual circumstances, as Head of State, I went straight to detention for three-and-a-half years. So, those who accuse me of locking them up, I too have been locked up; so what?”

He advised Nigerians in South Africa to be good ambassadors of their home county and never give up on their dreams, The Cable adds.
Buhari also disclosed he had joined partisan politics to meet the needs of people.
“When I went home people knew that I have no money I thought they will leave me alone, but they didn’t they were coming to me asking me to do this and do that. And I found that the only way I could do it is by joining partisan politics. And maybe if I speak even if I’m not a member at any level, people will listen to me.
“But then I joined the opposition, I joined APP (All Peoples Party). I didn’t want any political office at first, if I wanted I would have joined PDP then and maybe I would have gotten to where I am much earlier. But then I wanted to go with the opposition. I moved from APP to ANPP to CPC, eventually to APC.
“I contested in 2003, spent 30 months in the courts and ended up in supreme court. I contested in 2007, spent about 20 months in the courts, ended up in supreme court. I contested in 2011 and spent about eight months in the courts, all ending up in Supreme Court. Why was I doing it? I know the reason I believed in it! I told you I believe in this system, that election must be free and fair.
“In all those cases from high court to supreme court, we sent people to the field, they found out why the elections were not fair, they came to the court and gave evidence but in the end, they will say oh well! There were some flaws in the elections but PDP has won. At last the PDP has lost!
“I have gone to this extent to tell you that when you make up your mind about anything positive, don’t be discouraged! Keep on trying!”
Speaking further, Buhari noted that people remember him by the times of his performance as the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund.

“They (Nigerians) remember me more as chairman of the PTF than as a former head of state, than a governor or a minister of petroleum.
“In spite of the fact that it was during my time that I signed the contract for the Warri Refinery, Kaduna Refinery, more than 3,500 pipelines and more than 20 depots.
“We got the tankers off the roads; we saved lives; we saved fuel and we saved the roads.
“But from 1999 till date, the PDP messed them up. That is why Nigerians decided to vote me.”
Finally, Buhari expressed confidence that the outcome of the presidential election proved that people knew what they wanted.
Mixed reactions trailed Buhari’s address to Nigerians in South Africa. Especially it concerned the statement that although he locked people up, he was locked up, too.

Femi Falana, the famous human rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has warned President Muhammadu Buhari over his relationship with the G7 countries.
He named this affiliation a ‘romance’ and called on the president to be cautious.
Felana spoke in Lagos on June 14 as one of the keynote speakers at the 2nd annual national conference of The Companion, an association of Muslim men in business and the professions.

Falana defined the G7 as “a gang of seven designed to invade economies and destroy the people.”
He asked Buhari not to give in to the G7’s ideas; rather, he should come back to the people who reposed their confidence in him to lead them.

The lawyer continued that the president should avoid using money from any world agency to run his government “but should block the leakages and recover stolen money back to the government purse.”
Falana underlined the need for Buhari to ask questions about the money recovered from the late General Sani Abacha, which he described as “the most successful loot recovery from leaders who have stolen from public funds around the world.”
He added that $3.2 billion out of the $5billion supposedly stolen by Abacha had been recovered so far “but unfortunately, the money is being re-looted.”

President Buhari arrived for the G7 summit days after meeting with high level delegations in Chad and Niger where they discussed the current fight against the Boko Haram insurgency.
He received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Munich and pledges of help from world leaders.

The new President of the African Development Bank and Nigeria’s immediate past minister of agriculture, Dr. Akinwumi Adeshina, has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari and the immediate past president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, played major roles in his election.
Adesina made the statement in Abeokuta today, June 1, when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.

“I commend former Minister of Finance, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, for her role because it was an election we had to convince 74 ministers of finance from across the world.
“The election went into six round of voting and Nigeria led every single round of that vote; I want to confirm that the election was truly Nigerians’ collective effort.
On his plans for AFDB, Adesina said he would ensure that rural economy was revived as well as encourage regional integration.

Amosun had earlier expressed appreciation to Buhari, Jonathan and the international community for their support towards Adesina during the keenly contested election.
The governor said his success is for Nigeria as a country, not a personal one. He also opined that Adesina has joined the role call of notable Ogun citizens, who have achieved major feats in all spheres of life.
He further expressed confidence that Adesina’s experience as an accomplished agricultural economist will bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new position.

Adesina won the race to emerge the president of the AfDB on Monday.

As the outgoing Goodluck Jonathan administration prepares to vacate office for the incoming government of Muhammadu Buhari, there are three Ministers that has worked with the Jonathan administration that could make the cut when Buhari draws up a list for his own team.

1. Bolaji Abdullahi: Youthful Bolaji Abdullahi remains one of the best sports minister Nigeria has ever had. Under his watch, the country’s sports sector progressed astronomically and its development was glaring for all to see. During his tenure, Nigeria won several laurels in sports. But Abdullahi became a victim of political wrangling when he was dismissed from office following his political godfather’s (Bukola Saraki) disagreement with the presidency. Abdullahi will likely find his way back to the Buhari cabinet given his track record of excellence, unalloyed loyalty to Saraki and the fact that he is not a typical politician – a factor Buhari has openly expressed dismay for in appointing ministers.
2. Akinwunmi Adeshina: It is safe to say he is the best thing that happened to the Jonathan’s administration. His reforms in the Nigeria’s agricultural sector are to say the least revolutionary. His performance has earned him a role as a frontline contestant for the position of President of African Development Bank (AFDB). Until his appointment as Minister in 2010, he was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). Despite being in the opposition, Adeshina’s nomination got the backing of  President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, a testament to the fact that even the opposition acknowledges his immense contribution to the Nigerian economy through his progressive aagricultural programmes. There are strong insinuations that if Adeshina doesn not get the position, he will be retained in the cabinet of Buhari.
3. Professor Barth Nnaji: A professional to the core, Nnaji’s giant strides in the power sector during his short stint as Nigeria’s power minister didn’t go unnoticed. His reign in the ministry, for the first time, witnessed a situation where the minister in charge of a ministry, actually understands the workings of the ministry based on his experience and profession. He is  the founder of the first indigenous owned power generating company in Nigeria. Nnaji distabilised the cabal feeding fat from Nigeria’s power crisis. He crippled them economically and fought them with all the resources at his disposal. But at the end, he paid the price for daring the cabal by bring roped into a controversial case and then lost his job. Nnaji who has since retraced his political step and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) was part of the Igbo delegation that visited Buhari recently and he has been mentioned severally by analysts that his CV will impress the President-elect when he chooses to pick professionals from the South-East. The 58-year old is a scientist, innovator and one of the inventors of the E-Design concept.
Meanwhile, the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, will be holding a secret meeting with petrol marketers on how to resolve the lingering fuel scarcity causing Nigerians untold hardship.

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has commenced pushing for the candidacy of the Minister of Agriculture, Dr Akinwumi Adesina as President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
A statement issued by Malam Garba Shehu in Abuja on Saturday said Atiku’s shuttle diplomacy to drum support for the Nigerian candidate followed a mandate from the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
According to the statement, Buhari asked Atiku to leverage on his contacts to push for the emergence of Adesina.

Buhari, who backs the candidacy of Adesina, had last month conveyed his support to the President of Ghana, John Mahama, when the two leaders met in Abuja.
The statement stated that Atiku travelled with Adesina to South Africa over the weekend where the two met with President Jacob Zuma at the Presidential Residence in Durban.
“His Excellency former Vice President Atiku Abubakar met President Zuma in the company of Dr Akinwumi Adesina during which the directive of Buhari was conveyed to Zuma. “The issue of South Africa and the Southern African region’s support for Nigeria’s candidate was exhaustively discussed and well appreciated”, the statement read in part.
Meanwhile, the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan and his South African counterpart, President Zuma had a telephone conversation over the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians residing in South Africa.

As there were preparations this week for President Muhammadu Buhari to meet with  the head of the leading global corruption watchdog Clare Short this week, a new claim is out.
According to Dailytimes, a credible source has revealed how the Jonathan administration  had sold an oil bloc for $1.85b but made available a meager amount of $100m. This, which topped the agenda of the meeting will be probed to know what exactly went wrong.
The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Clare Short is a world body committed to enthroning transparency, accountability and prudent management of revenues from oil, gas and mining to support even development and reduce poverty in resource rich countries like Nigeria.
However, the executive secretary of The EITI in Nigeria, Zainab Ahmed, said over $7.5bn between 1999-2011 have been unaccounted for in the oil and gas sector in the country.
“The amount represents clear cases of underpayments, under-assessments of taxes, royalties, rents… which have not been adequately addressed in the past. “NNPC was unable to provide any evidence that the funds were remitted to the federation as required by law,” she said.
Recall that the central bank governor, Lamido Sanusi, was sacked by Goodluck Jonathan after raising an alarm about unrequited $20bn by the federal government in oil revenues between 2012 and 2013. It is an open secret that government rely heavily on proceeds from bulk oil sales but there has been little oversight of how these are handled.
