The BBC World Service has revealed the five names in contention for its inaugural Women’s Footballer of the Year award.
The Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala was nominated for the first edition of the awards on April 26, Sunday, along with Spain’s Verónica Boquete, German Nadine Kessler, Kim Little of Scotland and Marta of Brazil.
The Liverpool Ladies striker, who is also the African Footballer of The Year, confessed that her nomination came as a shock to her.
“I worked hard last year but I am surprised to be nominated and I feel very appreciated. This award is a very good thing for women’s football.
“It can really help us by encouraging other countries to support their ladies more and treat them the same way they treat the men. A lot of people tried to discourage me but I never let that bother me – I did what I want to do.”

Following the BBC’s announcement, Joy Etim, former Falcons coach, described Oshoala’s nomination as “deserving”, Leadership reports.
“It is well deserved for Asisat to be selected among top female players in the world. I hope she wins if she wins it will encourage other younger players, to work hard.
“I trained Asisat. I was with her at the very beginning of her career. I believe she is yet to actualise her full potential.
“She is a very talented player, I am not worried about her fellow nominees, because she has what it takes to win, I hope people vote for her,’’  Etim said.
According to Gracious Akujobi, the Super Falcons’ media officer, Oshoala has a good chance of winning the BBC award.
“She is young [and] we all saw what she did at the U-20, she won the most valuable player in the U-20 World Cup, she won Glo CAF awards, she has achieved all these in three years of her career.

“She is a vibrant player, all she needs is our votes we need to vote for her. If it’s going by achievement, she is most deserving of all the nominees, none of them can attain this feat by Asisat.
“The fact that she is nominated shows that her effort is appreciated and we are hopeful that she will win, she has what it take earned it.”
The winner of the Women’s Footballer of the Year award will be revealed on the BBC World Service on May 26 after being decided by a public vote. Voting is open and closes on May 11, 2015.

Controversial gospel singer Maheeda, also known for sharing the revealing photos of herself in social media, opened up on her relationships with husband.

While many keep criticizing Maheeda over posting unclad pictures embarrassing her man and Nigerians, the singer responds that it is not a publicity stunt but just her own way of getting job done, Nigeriafilms reports with reference to Saturday Tribune.
Speaking during the recent interview,  the mother of one and a wife of 2 years revealed that her husband loves and respects her, adding however that if he decides to leave, she will have no problems in finding a new man. Developing her thought, Maheeda added that “many men are running” after her.
“He loves it, he always says, ‘oh, so my wife is this sexy’. There was a time he read online that Maheeda is one of the hottest women in Nigeria, he called me and said. ‘Can you imagine, I’m married to one of the sexiest women in Nigeria’ and he was happy about it. People are different, but that is my husband’s own way.”
Despite the image of a wild woman one gets from seeing the hot photos the Goddess of X” (as Maheeda calls herself), the singer explains that in reality she is attached to home and her family:
“Hmm, I’m very homely. I like to play around with my daughter, we do homework together, we talk about school. We don’t have a house help, so I do my cleaning and other chores myself. I even feel lonely because I don’t have friends, I have my daughter and husband only as friends.”

Controversial singer Maheeda obviously continues to tease her fans by posting more half-naked photos and making statements about men’s tools.

Maheeda took to her Instagram page to share some ‘deep’ thoughts about her attitude to sex with condoms: “D*ck is not my problem silly! I can get it any how and any time I want it! Shm …as far as there is condom, changing dick is my hubby! Tho the sweetest ones holds me down.”
Apparently, the singer is teasing her fans by saying such things as she is a married woman. However, there is a possibility that she and her husband have an open relationship. This means that they agree that a romantic or intimate relationship with another person is accepted, permitted, or tolerated.
Recently, in an interview Maheeda said she loves sex and that everybody is addicted to sex. From the singer’s point of view, everyone’s life is based on sex. “If there’s no sex, I won’t be normal,” she said.

There are three powerful and important products released during sex between a man and a woman in a committed relationship which helps couples bond. These are the Dopamine, Oxytocin and Vasopressin.
Dopamine, a powerful chemical is internal pleasure/reward system. When someone is involved sexually, it makes him or her want to repeat that act. Their brain produces lots of dopamine which is compared to heroin on the brain and when dopamine is involved, it changes how one remembers.
The other part is oxytocin, which is designed to mainly help one forget what is painful. Oxytocin is a hormone produced primarily in women’s bodies. When a woman has a child and she is breastfeeding, she produces lots of oxytocin, which bonds her to her child. For this reason, mothers will die for their child, because they’ve become emotionally bonded due to the oxytocin that is released when they’re skin-to-skin with their child. When a woman becomes intimate with a man, her body also releases Oxytocin and she becomes emotionally bonded to him.
“Have you wondered sometimes why a woman will stay with a man who’s abusing her? We know now, it’s because she bonds to him emotionally, because of the Oxytocin release during sex,” a report said.
On the other hand, men produce Vasopressin also referred to as the monogamy hormone, and it serves the same purpose as Oxytocin. It bonds a man to a woman.

Good sex is a huge quality of life issue which affects the quality of relationships, how people feel about themselves and even the divorce rate.
A new study published in the American Journal of Medicine has revealed that sex is likely to be more satisfying for women above 40 as the risk of pregnancy is out of the way being that they are above menopause age.
It also adds that as partners become older, more experienced and more trusting of each other, they may become less inhibited in their views of what constitutes satisfying sex.
It is believed that when couples approach middle years, their bodies, psychology, hormones, lifestyles and sexual responses may change gradually or subtly and could reduce or increase sex life.
The study claims that none of these changes interferes with a full sex life as women grow increasingly satisfied with their sex lives after they turn 40.

“For women in such older age, sex may no longer be a risk-taking adventure because it becomes something that they do ‘now or never,’ hence, it seems only natural to try out new acts, positions and partners, if there is any reason to, and such couples are often forced to find new ways to give each other pleasure,” the study states.
A group of women aged between 40 and 100 with a median age of 67, were surveyed in the research carried out by Prof. Elizabeth Barrett-Connor, the chief of epidemiology division in the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine, University of California, San Diego, United States.
Half of the respondents said they were sexually active, and most of the women said they were able to become aroused, maintain lubrication and achieve orgasm during sex, even after the age of 80.

It was further revealed that men and women in their 40s considered themselves emotionally and physically satisfied by their lovemaking, and not because they lasted longer in bed or have more energy to go for more rounds.
However, a consultant psychologist, Prof. Toba Elegbeleye has expressed his doubts about the findings of the study.
According to him, women would have lost certain things that should make sex enjoyable when they are close to or reach menopause, which would have also reduced their sexual urge.

“When women attain menopause, production of oestrogen becomes far less, which would reduce their sexual urge, just as testosterone in men. However, we cannot remove the fact that some women, just like men, take to stimulants, which are drugs that can make them become sexually active after the bodily productions are getting reduced.
“If a woman at 40 has finished child bearing, which takes a lot away from her sexual urge, coupled with the menopausal effects, there is no level of dedication or commitment that would re-energise the urge to the level of that of a youngster because the more you age, the less energised you are for sex,” he explained.
He, however, advised against the use of stimulants which loses its effectiveness from too much use.

News coming in state that popular musician Tuface Idibia has lost his dad yesterday, August 23rd, to cancer.

Born on July 25, 1946, Mr. Idibia is an alumnus of Kansas State University, USA, and retired from the Ministry of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State.‎
Survived by wife, Mrs. Rose Owoyi Idibia, children: Steven Idibia, Innocent ‘2face’ Idibia‎, Hyacinth Idibia and Oche Idibia, grand-children, and siblings. ‎ Burial arrangements will be announced by the family.

Extremely talented young rap artist has been caught several times at Elegushi Beach smoking with friends. He also shares some pictures on his social media from time to timewhere he might be smoking.

This big star is not keeping his bad habits in secret  also. Some of his friends describe him as heavy smoker and drinker.
5. 2Shotz
William Orioha aka 2Shotz, who met his wife on Twitter is known for his expressive behavior. He is told to be smoking and drinking when he is in Lagos for his shows.
6. Don Jazzy
Popular Nigerian producer is another fan of weed in our list. There were a lot of stories where he was mentioned to have fun with alcohol and drugs. There is even a video of D’banj and Don Jazzy caught smoking.

After presenting their new single the duet revealed some info about their childhood and youth years. 
Now P-Squre is on a promo run of their new single. They were speaking on their new album, which is launching on 12 september, on Toolz’s Mid-Day show on Beat 99.9 FM.
In the interview exept some talks about the music, Paul confessed that before he became famous and rich he used to war as an electrician. He repaired some home stuff. Peter said he sold mangoes before his musical career. He told that he climbed on a tree on their school yard, stole some fruits and sold them after.
Peter also used to gamble and the biggest gamble he took was the idea to move to Lagos.
Brother also mentioned that the recent incident when the group almost broke was a usual misunderstanding between siblings. They reassured their fans that everything is nice in their group now.

Paul also shared some thought on his married life:
“I can’t take a picture without a shirt now, I’ll use a tank top instead but that doesn’t apply to Peter sha!”
He also admitted that now he is feeling more mature and responsible.

P-Square are not doubt one of the top singers not just in Nigeria but in Africa. Its no wonder the duo, Peter and Paul Okoye who have a large fan base are always busy cooking up something new for their fans.

The twins, Peter and Paul Okoye however added that by December 2014, they would be finally moving to their separate houses (to stay with their wives).
Meanwhile P-square have dropped their latest single ‘Ejeajo’ with Rapper, TI which is already gaining massive airplay. Speaking on their new album, they said they have a song with Don Jazzy titled ‘Collabo’ and also featured Awilo and Jermaine Jackson on the album.
They are currently promoting their sixth album which drops on the 12th of September which will contain songs like ‘Personally’, and ‘Testimoney’ amongst others.
