Respected former presidential candidate and social commentator, Pat Utomi has come out to defend Lagos monarch, Oba Rilwan Akiolu whose comments against the Igbos sparked outrage and diverse reactions from Nigerians in the last few days. The king had threatened that anyone, especially Igbos who fail to vote Akin Ambode of APC in Lagos will die in the lagoon within seven days. In defence of the King, Pat Utomi said the king was jesting as he’s used to making such remarks when he’s joking. See his tweets below…...

Ojukwu Would Have Helped The Igbos If He Conceded Defeat Like Jonathan - Danjuma

Former Minister of Defense, General Theophilus Danjuma, Wednesday, said that if former Biafran warlord, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu had behaved like President Jonathan by conceding defeat, the civil war would have been avoided.

Speaking shortly after a closed door meeting with President Jonathan, General Danjuma said the president has set a record in the history of the country by his act.
The meeting between Jonathan and General Danjuma was held behind closed door at General Danjuma’s residence in Asokoro.
According to General Danjuma, if Ojukwu had done the same thing after the fall of Enugu, when his government had to flee into the bush, he would have saved the country from bloodshed.

“The outcome of the election and the manner in which President Jonathan conceded victory to Buhari, is total un-African, it is very important in the history of Africa.
“Ojukwu did the same after the fall of Enugu, if he had conceded victory to the federal troops he would have saved the nation one full year of bloodshed.

“President Jonathan has set a record, made history, something to be emulated by the rest of Africa and indeed the whole world.”
Jonathan’s meeting with Danjuma was part of  his consultation with relevant stakeholders across the country for a smooth transition of power to President elect, General Muhammadu Buhari on May 29.

Nigerian Arrested In Malaysia For Giving "Facebook Girlfriend" Fake US Dollars

A 46-year-old Malaysian woman was shocked to realise her supposed Caucasian boyfriend, who she has been dating for 2 months on Facebook, was a Nigerian. This happened when they met physically for the first time on Saturday.

The woman, who is a teacher met the 36-year-old Nigerian man at a hotel in Jalan Tun Perak, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the first time on Saturday
because he wanted to repay the RM130,000 ($35, 689) that she had lent him.

The man handed her a black briefcase containing US$22,100 (RM81,770) in cash.

"When she checked the notes, she knew that something was wrong so she called us," said Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zainol Samah in a press conference.

ACP Zainol said the woman met the Nigerian two months ago on the Internet and they began "dating".

"The man pretended to be a Caucasian when they met on Facebook.

"After a while, he told the victim that he was financially constrained and that he needed her to help him," he said.

The woman wired RM130,000 into a local account as the man promised to pay double the amount and in American currency.

Five minutes after receiving the woman's call, police rushed to the scene and the victim informed them that she had received a briefcase containing cash, which she believed was fake.

When asked how she got the briefcase, she pointed at the man.

"So we checked and found that the 'cash' was fake. He was immediately arrested and brought to the district headquarters," ACP Zainol said.

Police then detained the Nigerian, who got to Malaysia just a week ago, at about 2.05pm.

The suspect has been remanded while the case is being investigated under Section 489C of the Penal Code for possession of fake money.

Petroleum Minister, Alison Madueke, Out Of The Country On ‘Health Grounds

Fresh reports reaching us say Petroleum Minister, Alison Madueke, has left the country for the United Kingdom on health reasons. Other sources say she fled owing to General Muhammadu Buhari’s win at the recent presidential election, seeing as the Oil sector under watch has been riddled with series of financial misappropriations.

In September, 2012; New York based Sahara Reporters revealed how the Minister left for the UK for medical treatment, but she swiftly issued a rebehindal declaring herself safe and sound. In spite of several sources corroborating claims of her health condition, saying how pertinent documents requiring her attention or signature were being taken over to the UK for her to handle, she denied all the claims of a failing health.

Our sources have gathered today that Alison Madueke is out of the country again.

There is however a twist to this particular trip abroad given that the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, is soon to resume office, and knowing his stance on corruption would be combing the records in the petroleum sector. Following this, the Minister knowing full well the monumental rot in the Oil sector thought it best to ‘breather’. Unconfirmed reports have it that Mrs. Madueke left the country via BA (British Airways) on Monday morning, April 6th; in a bid to steer clear from the political space. Meanwhile, an inside source close to her has confirmed that she really did leave the country for a short while but not for fear of any probe, but to receive treatments for an unknown health condition.

We are yet to hear from her officially.

Buhari Urge Igbos To Forgive Akiolu And Move On For The Sake Of Peace

The President-elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has urged the Ndigbo and other non-indigenes in Lagos State to forgive all that has been said against them and move on for the sake of peace.

Buhari said this during a rally in Lagos to address the comments made by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu. Akiolu has been under fire since Monday when he reportedly threatened the Ndigbo in Lagos to either vote for the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, or perish in the lagoon. The Peoples Democratic Party on Tuesday asked Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola to suspend Akiolu forthwith.

However, the President-elect described Lagos as home for all, adding that the time had come for Nigerians to look past ethnicity in the general interest of peace and unity.

He said, “I admire what your governor has done in terms of mobilising revenue to sustain Lagos development. I have a lot of respect for Governor Fashola for his hard work, commitment to the state and the country. There is no doubt that Lagos is a mini-Nigeria. We are all here and it has been mentioned by previous speakers that everybody (tribe) is adequately represented in Lagos.

“So, I assure you. If you vote for the continuity of APC in Lagos, you stand to gain more. It is in your interest that you vote for the APC.

“Please when you go home tell your neighbours, relatives and even the opposition to please bury the hatchet. Let them fall in line and vote the APC.

“When we were coming in our bus, Fashola told me how Lagos State had been spending to maintain the federal infrastructure here such as buildings, roads and other institutions. I had promised before that if I won the election and became the President, I would make Lagos my priority. Governor Fashola is already holding to me to that promise so I would like the incoming governor to listen carefully and make sure he makes me honour my undertaking.”

The National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said Lagos was responsible for building the opposition and ensuring that it finally took control of the centre.

He said it would be a great injustice for Lagos to become an opposition state after working so hard to build a bright future.

BREAKING NEWS! Top PDP Henchman, Chief Emami Ayirimi Dumps PDP For APC

Today, news is out that one of Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s political tacticians in Warri and Chairman of the Delta Waterways Security Committee, DWSC, Warri, Chief Ayirimi Emami, has defected from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Now

Before

Chief Emami, a former chairman of the PDP in Warri South-West Local Government Area, elatedly displayed his new APC card, as he announced his defection at his home in Ubeji, near Warri, claiming the PDP umbrella was leaking and could no longer provide the needed shelter for Deltans.

Vanguard reports that he asked Deltans to vote for the APC’s governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, in Saturday’s governorship election, pointing out that he, his people and political associates had been living in fear of the unknown for quite some years under the PDP.
 Governor Fashola Writes Lagosians

Dear Lagosians,

First let me thank you all for turning out to vote on the 28th March 2015 and for doing so peacefully to make history by electing the All Progressives Congress candidates in the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Once again, I must address you as we approach Saturday's elections, when you will be electing a Governor who will continue after me and consolidate on the progress we have built together.

You will also be electing members of the State House of Assembly who will make laws on your behalf to assist the Governor and his team in the Executive arm.

Although your votes will be cast for one political party or the other, let me remind you that you will actually be voting for your well-being, security, prosperity and future.

You will also be voting for the future of your children. You will be choosing candidates and a party that you will entrust your lives to.

Think hard, think clearly, think deeply. Ask yourselves a few questions.

Who has shown a better record and example of protecting and securing you between the political parties?
Which of the parties cares more when disasters happen?

What is the record of the parties as it relates to the promises they have made to you in the past? Which of the parties do you see regularly and which one do you see once in a while?

Which of the parties do you see when your life or property is threatened by epidemics like Ebola or by unfortunate accidents like plane crashes? Which of the parties is showing that you can become home-owners without knowing anybody?

Which party has responsibility for providing electricity for you, and which one is taking up the responsibility to light up your streets and communities at night? Which of them cares more about your children and their safety?

Indeed ask yourself; which of the parties threatened you with thugs on that sad Monday of March 16th and which is seeking to protect you by supporting the police; with patrol vehicles, fuel and other equipment?

Ask yourself when last you saw the Federal Fire Service in Lagos. The proud men and women of the Lagos State Fire Service have taken over admirably.

Ask yourself who should be supporting the police and who is actually doing it?

Dear Lagosians, your choice of who to vote for will be easy if you answer these questions within yourself honestly.

Indeed, you have clear choices to make between parties that use your resources to develop your society and community on the one hand, and the party that chooses to bring money to you for distribution when election beckons.

So you can choose between schools for your children, hospitals for your community, roads for your transportation or in the alternative, you can choose to have these services monetized once in four years.

Remember, that choices have consequences and your vote will decide the choice that shapes your lives.

Dear Lagosians, it is tempting to take the right and opportunity to vote for granted. It is tempting to think that it is too much trouble. I agree that the process can be made much easier. But it is no excuse to refuse to vote.

Out of 5.8 million registered voters and 3.8 million PVC collections, only about 1.5 million turned out to vote, on the 28th March 2015.

Think of all the pain, the effort, the sleepless nights it took to get the PVCs to you. Think of the best way to show that the effort was not wasted or in vain. It seems to me that the best way is to have all these 3.8 Million voters come out to vote.

By refusing to vote, you surrender decision making to a few and you will be bound by the consequences of your choices.

By refusing to vote, you do a great disservice to many who have lived before you, who fought very hard at great personal costs to themselves, to earn you this right.

By refusing to vote, you dishonour the sacrifice of patriots before you who fought for the right to vote.

Remember that when they were fighting for the right to vote, they were not fighting for yesterday, they were fighting for today and tomorrow.

They have handed today to you and I, can we secure tomorrow for the next generation Remember that since the capital of Nigeria was moved from Lagos 24 years ago in December 1991, Lagos has been abandoned by the Federal Government.

Ask yourself when the last major new road in Lagos was built by the Federal Government. It was the 3rd Mainland Bridge completed in 1990.

The assets the Federal Government left behind almost became a burden but for our resilience to maintain them. Today the Federal Government is owing Lagos N51 Billion which remains unpaid.

This is not in accord with the spirit of the promise made to Lagos when the Federal Government first declared Abuja as the capital in 1976.

The Head-of-State at the time, the late Gen Murtala Muhammed, said then and I quote him:

"…Lagos will, in the foreseeable future, remain the nation's commercial capital and one of its nerve centres. But in terms of servicing the present infrastructure alone the committed amount of money and effort required will be such that Lagos State will not be ready to cope.
(But we have coped at great sacrifice)

"It will even be unfair to expect the state to bear this heavy burden on its own. It is therefore necessary for the Federal Government to continue to sustain the substantial investment in the area. The port facilities and other economic activities in the Lagos area have to be expanded.

"There is need in the circumstances for the Federal Government to maintain a special defence and security arrangement in Lagos which will henceforth be designated a special area.

These arrangements will be carefully worked out and written into the new constitution. Kaduna and Port Harcourt are to be accorded similar status and designated as Special Areas…"

Sadly, no Federal Government and indeed not the PDP Government has done anything to redeem that promise for the 16 years it was in power or to protect Lagos.

Instead of assisting Lagos, they attacked her. If you remember FERMA, in 2006, the same PDP seized your Local Government money and resisted the attempt to bring Government closer to you by creating more local Governments.

On Monday 16th March 2015, the same PDP continued in their tradition of assaulting Lagos. Their supporters took over a major road in Lagos and threatened your peace and security.

On Wednesday 18th March 2015, the President-Elect, Muhammadu Buhari came to Lagos and said Lagos will receive compensation for the role she has played in maintaining Federal Government Assets.

Yesterday on Tuesday the 7th of April 2015, he was here in Lagos in his first political engagement since he became President-Elect and he reiterated his commitment to support Lagos.

This is what I will vote for. This is what I urge you to think about as you vote on Saturday.

This is the place that every Nigerian calls his home. It is the home of displaced people. It is the place where the homeless arrive and are made welcome.

It is the place where generations of Nigerians have arrived without knowing anybody but have, through the opportunities and inclusion, become somebody.

This is the place where the Late Chief Adeniran Ogunsanya and Owelle Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe consummated the handshake across the Niger and played politics without bitterness.

Tell those who try to divide us that our greatest strength has always been our diversity.

Tell them that you feel safe here, and that I have continuously assured you of your safety as the basis of our mutual co-existence.

Tell them that our waterways have been assets of prosperity and sustenance, for transport, recreation and fishing and they will remain so.

Let nobody now attempt to re-write that history for you.

When they reel out false statistics about Lagos, please ask them the statistics about the places they governed for 16 years.

When they reel out statistics, please remind them that those statistics don't stand in isolation, they are the burden of a whole nation and many parts of West Africa that Lagos state bears.

When they promise you heaven and earth, remember their broken promises on power, security and many more.

Ask them to show you a plan, if they can produce one, which is doubtful, ask them whether they have implemented it elsewhere.

Tell them that you have seen the Lagos Development plan for 2012 – 2025, that the Lagos Light Rail Project, the Adiyan Water Works Phase II of 75 Million gallons a day, the solar power for all schools and many more which are part of the plans for you and your children and which are already being implemented.

Tell them that you will vote to keep a plan that you can see, that is already working, instead of a plan that you have not seen.

Ask them what happened to Vision 20:20, to the 7-Point Agenda and to Transformation.

Tell them that your bird in hand will not be traded for a dozen unseen birds in the bush.

Tell them that this election is not about money, tell them that it is not about ethnicity and it is not about religion.

Tell them that this election is about the place you call your home, the place you earn your living and the place where your investments are the safest.

Tell them that you will not play ethnic or religious politics with your survival. Tell them that you will not vote with anger.

Tell them that you will vote with common sense and for experience.

Tell them that you have seen Lagos survive without Federal support, and you wish to see her flourish with Federal support.

That will be the most historic thing you will have done, putting Lagos in the centre with your votes.

History and tomorrow beckons. Don't turn your backs.

Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN
Governor of Lagos

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Bans Sinach From Singing In His Church

Founding pastor of Believers' Love World (Christ Embassy), Chris Oyakhilome, was said to have banned popular gospel singer, Osinachi 'Sinach' Kalu from rendering songs in church.

It was gathered from sources that Sinach was banned by Pastor Chris after she performed at popular annual Christian show 'The Experience' which held in December 2014 hosted by Paul Adefarasin's House on the Rock church.

Reports say before Sinach got the hammer, Oyakhilome had warned his workers against serving two masters at the same time meaning that none of them is allowed to take any job that doesn't involve Christ Embassy or Believers' Love World.

Another source also claimed that aside from the popular singer's performance at The Experience, she got the ban because Pastor Oyakhilome who is currently in the middle of a divorce drama, wasn’t in support of the man she married.

“The Pastor placed an order that none of his staff is permitted to take outside jobs, despite the fact that the church’s salary doesn’t come regularly. The problem between Sinach and the Pastor started when she got married to Pastor Joe. He wasn’t in support of their union. Although Sinach still attends services, she doesn’t sing in the church, special programme or communion service. In fact she might even leave the church soon, “, the source said.

Ace producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has raised a poser that Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, might be working for the emergence of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jimi Agbaje and was counting on the reactions of the Igbo population in the state to actualize his plan.

It will be recalled that Oba Akiolu has been berated by many for threatening Igbos in Lagos state with death if they fail to vote for his anointed candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Don Jazzy took to his Twitter page, which boast of over one million followers to raise the poser.
“#WhatIf Oba actually codedly wants PDP to win? And is counting on us reacting to his statement. #Justasking o. Cos he said he is related to JK. hmmm blood is thicker than party o. lol oya make i run,” he said.

He also vowed not to join his kinsmen in insulting Oba Akiolu. Don Jazzy was reacting to one of his followers on Twitter, who challenged him for not rebuking the king.

 Cooperative "Wonder Bank"

Scores of people in Kwara State who claimed to be customers of Ayonitemi Cooperative Business Finance, on Tuesday as early as 7am, besieged the premises of the bank alleging that they had been defrauded by the firm.

The wonder bank is located at Oniyangi, near the Emir Road, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Many of the customers, most of them weeping, told PUNCH Metro they had lost substantial amount of money which they deposited in the finance house. They stated that they had been promised mouth watering financial offers if they made deposit in the bank.

Many of them spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid being made subject of mockery by
people who might know them.

One of them said she received information to come on Tuesday to collect her money which she had been depositing in the bank for many months. She claimed to have invested about N1m in the bank without her husband’s knowledge and consent.

“I have been depositing money in the bank for some months. They promised that they will not disappoint us. They told us that they were from Kwara State and they had no other place to run to. So, I was convinced that this bank was real. I did not even inform my husband of my transactions with them. Unfortunately, they disappointed us and ran away.”

Some other victims claimed to have lost money ranging from N100,000 to N450,000. Some of them later descended on the office of the firm and carted away office furniture and items, including electronics.

Efforts to get the reaction of the officials of the bank proved abortive.

The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ajayi Okesanmi, said the command had not been briefed that about the alleged fraud by the bank.

Topic: Ha!! Meet The 6 Top Nigerian Female Celebrities Who Are Still Virgins

«§» 8 April 2015

1. CHIDINMA EKILEWO

Ms. Chidinma Ekilewho is popular for her first name is one singer who has captured the hearts of many from her Project Fame days and going on to sing ‘Kedike’ which instantaneously made her a household name in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

During an interview she declared she has never been intimate with a man before.

The Female Singer had reacted to her alleged compromising video scandal in 2013 by maintaining that it wasn’t her that people saw in the video that went viral and as a matter of fact, that she’s still a virgin.

“I didn’t make any compromising video o, I have no idea where that tape is from and I am still a v*rgin o!” she said

2. TOLU ONIRU (TOOLZ)

Tolu Onirupopularly known as “Toolz” is a Nigerian media personality and OAP who in fact is described as one of the most voluptuous hips which has been the centre of arguments amongst her several fans.

The OAP once revealed she’s never been intimate with a man before while answering questions via her Twitter page. She also confessed that one of her hips is artificial.

3. ADOKIYE

Nigerian pop singer Adokiye in a recent interview spoke about not being in a relationship and when asked about getting intimate with the opposite gender said: “Haba, what is a young girl getting laid for, I’m still a virgin”.

She also caused a social media storm by offering her virginity to Islamic militants Boko Haram in exchange for the return of hundreds of kidknapped schoolgirls.

However, the 23-year-old musician and actress from Imo State, who is also a UN Ambassador of Peace, took the protest to the next extreme.

“It is just unfair. They are too young. I wish I could offer myself in exchange,”she told Nigerian publication Vanguard.

“They are between 12 and 15 year old girls for Christ sake. I am older and more experienced. Even if 10 to 12 men have to take me every night, I don’t care. Just release these girls and let them go back to their parents.”

4. SEYI HUNTER

When Afro-pop singer,Adokiye declared she was a virgin in a chat with Vanguard’s Potpourri recently, many thought she could possibly be the last of the virgins in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

But it seems there are others, at least one other, as another entertainer,Seyi Hunter has come out to declare she is a virgin as well.

When asked in a Vanguard interview about Intimacy and money, which was more important to her in a relationship, the actress said:

I know nothing about intimacy, I’m a virgin. Money is more important to me in a relationship.

5. ANNABELLA ZWYNDILA

Upcoming actress and product of AMBO reality TV show – Adamawa State-born actress, Annabella Zwyndilawho is telling whoever cares to listen that her virginity is still intact despite massive harassment in the movie industry.

The Adamawa State-born actress even boasts that nothing would make her lose her virginity to another man except her husband.

Zwyndila revealed this in an interview she granted which was published by the Sun. The fast rising star who was recently nominated for ZAFAA Awards as Best Upcoming Actress, acknowledges the challenges are enormous, but there is no going back on her decision to remain a virgin.

Her words: “A role that is supposed to be yours is taken from you because of one or two requests that you can’t meet. So, harassment is not only in the movie industry. It is everywhere… That side of me is dead until I get married.

Aside avoiding pre-marital intimacy I am also a born again Christian and I fear God a lot. I can remember while we were growing up we had that lesson about s-xually transmitted diseases and the fear of all those things really kept me away from intimacy. So, if I must have a relationship we must enter into agreement of no intimacy.”

6. DAMILOLA AGBAJOR

She emerged Miss Nigeria in 2010 at age 19. In one of her interviews during her reign, she insisted that she is a virg-in.:
You have a boyfriend?
No, I don‘t.
Why?
One of the reasons for such is that considering my age, I think I‘m too young for that and also I really don’t need one now. I still have more time to make the right choices. So if she has lost her virgin-ity, you know she lost it after her reign but she hasn’t said she has lost it.

Why My Wife Divorced Me – Oyakhilome Finally Speaks On Divorce Drama

Founder of Believers Love World Ministry aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has finally spoken on the divorce suit filed against him by his wife after days of silence on the issue.

According to the Daily Post, Oyakhilome described the allegations levelled against him as “crazy” and “stupid” and urged his church members to pray for his estranged wife while speaking on Sunday evening during the monthly global communion service of the church.

Oyakhilome, who appeared visibly disturbed during his first few minutes on stage, acknowledged that divorce is un-Biblical but suggested he could consider the option should his wife insist on it.

“I heard that some media houses– especially in Nigeria, are writing some things against me. All sorts of frivolous charges, that’s crazy.

“You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God.

“The only thing you might find will be a man of God, maybe in two different kinds of ways. Moses, for example, when he struck the rock twice, he was provoked by the anger of the people. It was not because he wanted to do something against the Lord. No man of God does something against the Lord.

“Are you hearing me? A man of God is set on a course; there is a type of life that he is given. Then you have a young man, a young prophet; he wasn’t named; he was deceived by another man of God and so he went in a direction that God said ‘don’t go’.

“That is the only kind of thing you find about a man of God when he misses the message of God or he acts beyond what God said. But a man of God settles himself in the fight against the world… like those writing those stupid things about me, that I did this and I did that.

“You don’t know who a man of God is. I don’t go in that direction. I wasn’t accused of the things you said, nor did I commit those stupid things that you said and I don’t need to go into that level in such discussions”.

He recalled that Jesus passed through similar travails and eventually overcame.

He said that although so many people were making mockery of him, he would remain steadfast and not lose focus.

“Jesus Christ was accused by many– a lot of frivolous charges. There will always be those who would like for it to be true. But you know, in spite of the accusations against Jesus, It didn’t change who he was. It didn’t change him.

“There are preachers and there are men of God. I am not a preacher; I am a man of God and I go in the way I’m asked to go. It may cause some troubles with individuals but that’s not because I have done something wrong and when it comes to Reverend Anita, what I will say to you is ‘pray for her’.

“Don’t act like those people. If you are married to a man of God, it doesn’t make you automatically mature. You can make mistakes; you can do something that is wrong. But some people expect the wife of a minister to definitely be at the level of that minister and so they may be looked upon and the expectation may be like that, but it’s a positional thing.

“If a man of God is married, it doesn’t automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God. That’s not the way it is in the Bible. That’s why you don’t really find the wives of men of God mentioned in the Bible. How many of them? Who was Peter’s wife, did you ever know her name? You never find that out. Who was John’s wife? Did you ever read the name? What about all the other Apostles? How many of their names are written in the Bible? You never find their names”, he added.

At this point, one of the female pastors sought to know why the names of wives of the men of God were not found in the Bible.

Oyakhilome’s response was that she should ask God whenever she finds him.

‘“Why? You ask God when you find him. Ask God when you find him”, he exclaimed.

“So, they are little things; don’t try to make something big out of them. So when journeying, doing the things that God called us to do, Christians should not have a divorce; it shouldn’t be, but you see, that doesn’t mean a Christian may not take the step.

“They may do it but they have to make things right and we shouldn’t take one another to court. But when it happens, not that we don’t just want to go, it means someone is taking us there.

“That’s a problem, but be wise and stay focused in the word of God and don’t let those who want to feast on things like this, including Christians…

“There are Christians who like things like this; they want to make something big out of this: ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, we said it’. You said what? Judge nothing before the time. Be wise. Glory to God.

“So we are not working in sin and living in sin and hoping that we can mix sin and righteousness together. We are the manifestation of his righteousness. We walk in that light only, and that’s the way it’s gonna be”.

In April 2014, Anita Oyakhilome filed for divorce at Central Family Court, High Holborn, London, UK, citing her husband’s “unreasonable behaviour” and inappropriate relationships with members of staff, a euphemism for “adultery”.

The couple have meanwhile decided to share custody of their children. Sharon, the eldest, prefers Pastor Chris, while Charlene is presently with Anita.

While speculations were rife over the whereabouts of Patience Jonathan since the March 28 presidential election, the First Lady has recently returned to Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.

Patience Jonathan’s last public outing was on March 28 in Otuoke, Bayelsa, where she cast her vote in accompany of her husband.

Thisday reports that Mrs Jonathan arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via Emirates Airlines on April 7, 2015.

An anonymous source could not name the country she was coming from but confirmed that the plane landed at about 5.30p.m. local time.

The First Lady’s arrival will put an end to numerous speculations of her whereabouts. However, the reason for the trip is still not clear.

According to airport sources, on arrival, the outgoing first lady was briskly escorted to the presidential wing by security officials where three Mercedez Benz cars and a bus were positioned for her.

The source, who confirmed Mrs Jonathan’s arrival, added that unlike the usual large crowd, which usually accompany her on both local and oversea trips, this time, it was just a handful of close associates.

Patience Jonathan’s last public outing was on March 28 in Otuoke, Bayelsa, where she cast her vote in accompany of her husband.

The First Lady was even absent at last Sunday Easter celebration at the Presidential Villa which caused even more rumours and speculations.

Some reports had alleged that Mrs Jonathan might have left the country for the United Kingdom to sort out some domestic issues.
