Obasanjo-traders
Speaking, during a surprise visit to Itoku Market in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State, while interacting with the traders in the market, Obasanjo, adorned in a blue attire, moved from the adire sellers’ section to herbs sellers’ section, among others, felicitating with them in the spirit of Easter season.
The former president caused a stir within the market as the traders began to chant Sai Baba Obasanjo, Sai Amosun.
Obasanjo, who refused to name the party he would want the traders to vote for when journalists caught up with him in the market, however, advised them to do exactly what they did last Saturday.
He said, “They should do exactly what they did last Saturday.”
Obasanjo, who spoke in Yoruba said, “Since I came back from Abuja, I have not come here to say hello to you. This is my community. As a member of the community, I want to know what’s going on and what’s happening in the community.”
