INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega has just announced the final results of the presidential elections of 8 States in Nigeria. The States are Ogun, Enugu, Kogi, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo, Nasarawa and the FCT, Abuja. And here are the official final results as announced by him. This is the one you should believe.

Female Sierra Leonean students who got pregnant during the eight-month long Ebola Virus Disease induced break will not be allowed to return to school, the country's government has said.

Sierra Leone's Education Minister, Minkailu Bah, said girls who are visibly pregnant will not be allowed to join their classmates in primary and secondary schools.
Schools were shut as the highly contagious Ebola disease spread to Sierra Leone in May 2014, eventually infecting about 11,301 people and killing 3,461, according to the Wikipedia.
The girls, who have already lost 8-months of education, would feel double pain with the announcement.
But, after a meeting of the Conference of Principals, the country's principals agreed to support Bah's announcement.
The chairman of the Conference of Principals, Sylvester Meheux, said the decision to keep pregnant student away from the classrooms is to protect the other girls.
"In our own culture, in the secondary school, they don't allow girls who are visibly pregnant to go and take exams," Meheux said.
"We have a belief that it will encourage other girls to do the same thing.
"Others will copy that example, and we'll have a lot of them [pregnant girls] in our school system."
Meheux explained that pregnant girls need to be counselled, especially with the 'distractions' of pregnancy.
"Education is a discipline. In the absence of discipline, learning doesn't take place," he said.
"You should also realise that when someone is pregnant, you have some distractions, things that will not make you compose yourself, to take your education seriously."
Amnesty International's West Africa researcher, Sabrina Mahtani, told rfi English that the government's decision is discrimination.
"This is not a favour [to pregnant girls], this is a fundamental human right to education," Mahtani said.
"And these girls have a right not to be discriminated against, and also have a right not to be stigmatised just because they're girls."
She argues that some of the girls got pregnant in circumstances beyond their control.
"And there has been a reported increase in sexual violence as well as a reported increase in pressure on girls to engage in transactional sex due to the very harsh economic impacts of Ebola," she said.
It is an unspoken rule in Sierra Leone's education system that pregnant girls will not be allowed to mix with girls who are not pregnant.

The US and UK government have released a joint statement appraising last Saturday's general elections. According to the statement posted on UK's Foreign affairs website here, both government said the elections have largely been peaceful but that there are disturbing indications of political interference in the collation of results. Our governments welcome the largely peaceful vote on 28 March. The Nigerian people have shown a commendable determination to register their vote and choose their leaders. So far, we have seen no evidence of systemic manipulation of the process. But there are disturbing indications that the collation process - where the votes are finally counted - may be subject to deliberate political interference.
This would contravene the letter and spirit of the Abuja Accord, to which both major parties committed themselves. The Governments of the United States and the United Kingdom would be very concerned by any attempts to undermine the independence of the Electoral Commission (INEC), or its Chairman, Prof Jega; or in any way distort the expressed will of the Nigerian people.

Abuja – The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Monday released the list of broadcasting stations that contravened the provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting code from the beginning of electioneering campaign to date.

A statement signed by the commission’s Director/Head, Public Affairs, Alhaji Awwalu Salihu, in Abuja, said the contraventions included breaches of the rules on the broadcast of sponsored campaign materials.

Other breaches were the airing of campaign materials or programmes that promoted political parties or candidates within the 24-hour prohibited period, as well as unauthorised networking by a group of stations.

The statement said that NTA breached the sensibilities rules while AIT and NTA both breached the rules on airing sponsored materials.

According to the statement, Rima Radio, Sokoto and BSES, Ekiti defaulted on denial of access.

Also 15 stations nationwide breached the code for advertising and promoting a political party after campaigns had stopped 24 hours to election time.

The stations included  Liberty TV, Liberty FM, Karama FM, Alheri FM, NTA, AIT, Rima Radio, STV Lagos, TVC Lagos, NTV, PRTV, Jos, NTA Makurdi, Vision FM and Nigeria Info,

Others were BECOS TV, NTA Jos, Gombe Media Corporation Radio FM, OSBC TV and Freedom TV Ilesha.

According to the statement, all the stations involved had been either queried or outrightly sanctioned, according to the provisions of the Nigerian Broadcasting code.  (NAN)

A number of women, the elderly and children who were locked up by fleeing terrorists in Gwoza have been freed by troops as cordon and search along with mopping up operations continue in the town. The freed hostages some of whom are so weak are being given medical attention while others are also receiving necessary care pending the arrival and activities of aid agencies. Some of them are also providing useful information for the intelligence in aid of troops operations in the area.

In another development, a building which have been converted to a bomb making factory have been unearthed by troops in the course of ongoing mopping up operations in Gwoza. The facility which is being used for the manufacture of various calibres of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) is still being carefully evacuated of dangerous materials.

Massive destruction of infrastructure and property including blowing up bridges and burnt houses including Emir’s Palace have also been noticeable. Troops are also carefully removing land mines placed in various parts of the town.

In Bama also in Borno State, troops on routine patrol in the suburbs of the town this morning recovered a large number of rifles and various arms believed to have been abandoned by terrorists who fled the area when troops were advancing to flush them of the town recently. Bama was liberated by troops on 16 March 2015 and troops have since been dominating the town with aggressive patrols to defend it against any further terrorists activities.

Although makeup is very good as it has helped some women regain their lost confidence caused by some skin problems and accidents, some people especially men are finding the transformation caused by the beauty products very deceitful. Once, in an argument with one of my male friends, he described the use of makeup as a new way girls get what they want with what they don’t have (good, rich, handsome boyfriends). When I pointed out that many women who use makeup do it for themselves and not for the attention, he said maybe it was the truth that they did it to feel awesome about themselves but there would be a little part of them that really wants to get noticed and turn heads. Not that he saw anything bad in wanting to look good but the constant excessive use of makeup is a big turn off for him (and it is for many men) as it may leave him really disappointed when she finally decides to show her “real self”.


To some ladies, there is absolutely nothing like “too much makeup”; if it makes them feel/look good, they would go for it and some men feel it is cheating. They compare the use of makeup with pretending to be someone you’re not, lying to be perfect or hiding the real you behind gimmicks. No matter how much people have complained about girls going subtle when applying beauty products on their face, the “deceitful makeup” is becoming a more acceptable trend in our time. It has become the case of “if you can’t beat them, join them” as more pictures of makeup enhanced beautiful faces are everywhere on our social media timelines, walls and so on and more girls are found embracing the artificial temporary beauty than their permanent God-given one.


However rampant the makeup trend has become, it has called people to ditch using beauty as a yardstick to measure a girl’s worth especially for a relationship. Guys are now found more interested in the brains and character. After all, if ugliness and blemishes can be hidden with the right makeup products, there’s nothing that can mask a shallow brain and a terrible character. And what will it profit a girl to get a man’s attention by her makeup beauty and lose him due to lack of character and the ability to think deep?

Inside sources have revealed that Jesse Jagz is back with Chocolate City.
The singer, rapper and ace producer is the head of Jagznation, a label he founded after his exit from Chocolate City in 2013.
Now after 2 albums, Jesse is set to reunite with his friends and ex-labelmates, M.I Abaga, and Ice Prince.
Speaking with Pulse, a source close to the rapper revealed. “Jesse is reuniting with Chocolate City, a deal has been struck which would enable him return to the label.”
Jesse Jagz left Chocolate City in 2013 after being disillusioned with the progression of his career under the Audu Maikori-led label.
He further went on to drop 2 albums, Jagznation Volume 1 and 2, which has cemented his position in the country as an amazing rapper.
This year marks the 10 anniversary of Chocolate City, and according to Audu Maikori, the label has huge plans to surprise the industry. He further speculated on a union between all the Choc Boys.
One further event which has hinted on the return of Jesse Jagz, is the leak of a new single, ‘Summer Time’ which was a collaboration single between Jesse Jagz, M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, and Loose Kaynon.
Jesse Jagz's return will be announced in the coming weeks by the label which is also home to Pryse, Dice Ailes, Coker, DJ Caise, Nosa, Victoria Kimani and Femi Kuti (management).
