Topic: APC Paid N5000 Each For Lagos Walk – PDP (Read 1883 times)

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party says every person that attended the one-million-man march of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos received at least N5,000 each.

The party in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Taofik Gani, said groups that attended the march received between N1m and N10m.

The PDP said the APC was deceiving Lagosians by tagging the march as “one-million-march” because the Teslim Balogun Stadium where the walk ended, could only accommodate 24,000 people.

The PDP said during the rally, posters and billboards of its candidates were vandalised while two people in private vehicles were attacked for carrying the sticker of the PDP governorship candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje.

The statement read, “The PDP has described as blatant falsehood and over exaggeration of the number of attendees which the APC continues to put at one Million probably to give General Muhammadu Buhari false hope in Lagos State.

“The capacity of the stadium used is 24,325 and could not have accommodated over 100,000 without stampede! The Party notes that the APC was over ambitious to expect one million lovers of the APC in Lagos State at this period that the masses are disenchanted with its policies; a reason why Governor Babatunde Fashola could not attend the rally.

“The PDP posits that the realistic figure of about 11,000 APC members actually participated due to coercion or monetary inducement.

“The PDP further wants the security agencies to investigate the anomalies observed at the rally which include: Assault of persons; destruction of PDP campaign materials; use of abusive, threat, provocative speeches and songs.

“We condemn the actions of some overzealous members of the APC who participated in the Buhari/Osinbajo rally but actually deployed to unleash on the banners and other campaign materials of PDP on the rally routes.

“Lagosians in two private cars and a commercial bus were harassed and the vehicles maliciously damaged because they had the stickers of the PDP and Agbaje. We blame the APC for not curtailing the excesses of such members in order to prevent such assaults.

“The number of persons at the rally can at best be near 11,000. This is in spite our intelligence report that individual participants were mobilised with N5,000 while the groups got between N1m and N10M each.”

Topic: EXCLUSIVE!!! 25,000 Pastors Hold Prayers For Buhari In Lagos [Details Inside] (Read 3209 times)

«§» 8 March 2015

25,000 pastors and evangelists in the South-West are to hold a special prayer session for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, and his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

According to the coordinator of the programme, Bishop Kayode Williams, the ministers of God will come together to seek divine support for Buhari and Osinbajo.

Williams, who revealed that the spiritual exercise, tagged “Divine Restoration of Nigeria Glory”, is being organized to disabuse the minds of Nigerians about the wrong impression being created about Buhari. “We are four spearheading this prayer session: My humble self, Rev. Moses Iloh, Archbishop Magnus Atilade and Deacon Ayo Opadokun. We are against wrong information being fed members of the public about Buhari.

catholic buhariFor those of us that followed the track record of Buhari while he was in public service, we know that this man is not a religious bigot. Buhari is an upright man and not anti-Christ as some people want to portray him,” he declared.

While describing the prayer session as a unique event, Williams implored Nigerians not to use religion to confuse people or to divide Nigerians.
“First and foremost, we should see ourselves as one. We are all Nigerians. We should not allow politics to divide us or cause bitterness among us. We should love one another. It is wrong for anybody or group to say Christians are against Buhari – to us, Buhari is a righteous Nigerian, and Christianity preaches righteousness, and we want righteous people in leadership, and this is why we are organizing this prayer for Buhari to be the next leader of this country”, he stated.

While reminding Nigerians that the country is a secular state, Williams implored Nigerians to be tolerant of one another’s faith, views and opinions.

The cleric revealed that the programme will have in attendance as special guests Buhari, and Osinbajo and other eminent personalitie
Topic: TF!?? Oba Okunade Sijuwade Flaunts His Painted Nails During Jonathan's Visit (Read 2256 times)

That the respected Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade is a fashionista might be stating the obvious. He has a unique way of dressing with flamboyance and panache. As the monarch is getting old, many would have thought his fashion sense might slow down, but this may not be the case after all. Pictures emanating from the meeting of some monarchs with President Goodluck Jonathan recently has revealed the Ooni in another light. Oba Sijuwade was spotted wearing colorful nail polish to conform with his attire’s shade of colors. Your comments are welcome
Topic: Widow, Daughters Keep Hubby’s Corpse In A Room For Two Years (Read 5008 times)

The corpse of a man who died over two years ago but was concealed in a room by his widow and children has been uncovered.

The incident happened at 14, Mustapha Street, Ojokoro area of Lagos State.

The deceased, one Hassan, Sunday Sun gathered, died two years ago at the age of 65 but his widow in connivance with his children allegedly kept the news of his death secret and locked up his corpse in one of the rooms in their house.

The two-year-old corpse, Sunday Sun learnt was discovered after one of the deceased’s daughters engaged one of their neighbours in a fight in front of the room. The door of the room was said to have been accidentally broken while they struggled with each other.

Curiously however, the corpse was discovered lying on a bare floor in one of the rooms with an empty casket by its side.

The wife of the deceased who is currently in police net along with two of her daughters and her grand daughter was reported to have said she acted on her late husband’s instruction as according to her, the late Hassan instructed them against burying his corpse until he had given a sign to do so.

Corroborating her mother’s claim, one of the daughters, Aishat Hassan said there was no way they would have gone against the wish of their late father who had given the strict warning that he must not be buried immediately after his death. According to her, their late father had told them before his death that they would see a sign at the appropriate time he would like to be buried.

Aisha who described her late father as a loving man said he deserved a befitting burial and insisted that there was no other reason they kept his corpse in a room for such a long time other than the fact that they did not want to go against their late father’s instruction.

She further argued that it was wrong for anyone to say that they merely dumped their father’s corpse in the room because according to her, what they have done so far to their late father’s corpse was a “dry embalmment.”

Sunday Sun further gathered that the Chairman of the Community Development Association, (CDA) has equally been arrested by the police.

A source who preferred to be anonymous said the CDA chairman denied the community’s knowledge of the late Hassan’s death, adding that although the community was aware that the deceased took ill few years back, nobody had told them anything about him in the last two years.

Although the family claimed they acted on their late father’s instruction, Sunday Sun scooped that the family might have decided to dump the man’s corpse in one of the rooms due to what a source attributed to the pressure being mounted on the family by one Mr. Ebenezer, to put the house up for sale.
