The
holiday season is a time for families to reunite and, in some cases,
forgive and forget past differences. And it looks like Guns N’ Roses is
doing the same thing.
The band’s official website has recently been updated with their classic logo, the very literal guns in roses. And on December 24th, their Facebook page changed
their profile picture to that of a screaming crowd. Now they’ve even
latched on to the biggest buzz out this year – Star Wars. A short teaser of a crowd going wild, to the tune of “Welcome to the Jungle”, has reportedly been attached to screenings of the new Force Awakens movie.
All this points to an upcoming reunion tour in 2016, one involving the two central GN’R members, Slash and Axl Rose.
Their well-known frigid relationship has only increased demand for a reunion of the classic line-up. In 2009, Axl Rose told Billboard, “…the
two of us will die before a reunion.” But earlier this year, Slash
mentioned that they’ve since patched things up, saying their supposed
reconciliation was “long overdue.” Whether or not either of them is
being sincere is almost beside the point – a reunion tour would without a
doubt yield massive sales.
