However, a postmortem examination showed that Mr McKenzie died from a heart attack, while his wife drowned moments later under the weight of his body.

Chief Godswill Akpabio, the Senate minority leader, has condemned fresh agitation for the creation of the sovereign state of Biafra.
Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio
The former governor of Akwa Ibom state called on parents and community leaders in the southeast and south-south regions of the country to ensure that they caution and educate their wards on the negative implication of their actions.
Akpabio made this admonition while receiving members of the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly led by its speaker, Aniekan Uko, who paid him a courtesy visit in the National Assembly in Abuja on Thursday, November 12.
The ex-governor said: “For those of us who witnessed the civil war, we should not be seen to be supporting this needless struggle because it is an ill wind that will blow no good, no matter your status or political affiliation.”
He stressed: “No matter the level of disaffection among different groups within the nation, there are better and lawful channels in which any aggrieved group or individuals can explore to get a redress instead of engaging in outright lawlessness. Let us all rise in unison to condemn any group that is bent on destroying the oneness of this country because our strength as a country lies in our unity.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state said President Muhammadu Buhari should be held responsible if anything happens to Col Sambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser.
The governor described the placement of Dasuki under house arrest by the Department of State Services (DSS), despite a court order that he should be allowed to travel abroad for medical treatment, as wicked, inhuman, dictatorial and a clear attempt to deny him of his rights to life as enshrined in the Constitution of Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Ayodele Fayose
This was contained in a statement released on Friday, November 13, by Lere Olayinka, the special assistant to the governor on public communications and new media, Vanguard reports.
Expressing joy over Friday’s ruling by the Abuja Federal High Court, ordering the DSS to allow Dasuki to travel out of the country, Fayose said Justice A‎demola Adeniyi did the right thing by insisting that court order must be obeyed and that his own orders will not be flouted.
The governor reminded President Buhari that the Nigeria of 1984 that he ruled like a fiefdom is different from that of 2015.
Fayose blamed Buhari for the death of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and the former Bayelsa state governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.
He gave instances from the past, saying: “President Buhari seized late Chief Obafemi Awolowo international passport and prevented him from travelling abroad for medicare in 1985, thereby leading to his (Awolowo) untimely death of 1987.
Buhari also hounded former Bayelsa State Governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha to death all in the name of fighting perceived political opponents.
“The fate that befell Awolowo in 1985 must not be allowed to befall Sambo Dasuki in 2015 and Nigerians must rise against this Buhari’s dictatorship and his instrument of oppression, Lawal Daura.
The governor therefore called on Nigerians, especially men of the judiciary to unite and “shake dictatorship off the body of President Buhari and his hatchet man, Alhaji Lawal Daura.”
He stated that Daura, the director general of the DSS and President Buhari’s kinsman, was an instrument of political persecution.
He likened Daura to Mohammed Lawal Rafindadi, of the Nigerian Security Organisation (NSO) that was also used by Buhari as an instrument of political persecution between 1984 and 1985.
However, Governor Fayose said Nigerians who fought late General Sani Abacha to a standstill will also “fight this emerging Buhari’s ‘militocracy.”
The to enable him travel abroad for medical checks.
But since the issuance of the court order, operatives of the DSS have been positioned in Dasuki’s residence preventing him from leaving his house.
, alleging that his life was under treat by operatives of the DSS.

An eight-year-old boy has been charged with beating a one-year-old girl to death in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
The boy killed the little Kelci Devine Lewis after her mother Katerra Lewis went to a nightclub, leaving the baby under the supervision of the boy. According to local media reports, there were six other children between the ages of two and eight but no adults at home.
The boy’s identity is not revealed
When left alone the 8-year-old allegedly attacked the girl because the baby wouldn’t stop crying. Kelci suffered head trauma and internal injuries, which led to her death. The girl’s mother found her lifeless body in a crib only the following morning.
The baby suffered head trauma and internal injuries, which led to her death
Birmingham police spokesman Sean Edwards said: “This is by far one of the saddest cases that I have witnessed and been a part of since I became a police officer. I think her punishment is going to be something she’ll have to live with the rest of her life, her actions that night, choosing the club over taking care of her 1-year-old.”

The boy has not been identified and will be tried in juvenile court. Katerra Lewis has also been charged with manslaughter but released on a $15,000 bond. A memorial for Kelci was held late last month at a Birmingham park, where friends and family lit candles and released balloons in the girl’s memory.
Thirty years ago, on August 11, 1985, Nigeria won the U-16 FIFA World Championship hosted in China. The current Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, governed the nation as a military head of state at that time.
However, in the early hours of this morning, Nigeria yet again lifted the trophy under the leadership of the same person.
President Buhari is now the only head of state to ‘win’ the tournament twice as the leader of Nigeria. Below is the historic picture that was taken when he hosted the team on arrival from China.

A young but talented boy from Enugu state has constructed an aeroplane with the help of locally sourced materials.
Although the mini airplane has no engine, it looks like a real jet and even can contain two or three passengers.
See some photos of the amazing plane below:
However, while some people really admire such young talents, others express scepticism.
“Na wao… Can it fly? Cos aeroplane flies. Not putting metal together and giving it a shape of an aeroplane then bringing it to public viewing..When will Nigeria stop feeding on carcass of western worlds? Still kudos to the boy,” Amdoyin wrote.
“Great! Keep it up boy! If our country wants a future, they should pick boys like this and develop them immediately by sending them to abroad for further studies. This guy can begin building planes in the future for Nigerian Air plane Manufacturing Company N.A.M.C. I just coined that one!” Ideyontop noted.
“High time all these things are discouraged. No matter how hard they try, the art of aircraft manufacturing is not a one man thing, it requires high tech brains.”
“Maybe to join a toy-making company because that’s what I can see there. So many unknown people make toy cars, toy guns etc, so I don’t think this should be news. It’s not all about putting metals together and producing another toy; it’s about making something functional,” Jesumed wrote.

A woman wearing only faux-jeans painted on to her skin and a t-shirt was walking around the busy streets of Hong Kong and no one managed to notice it.
Scroll down for photos and video!
In an unusual experiment of professional  body-paint artist Sandra Bakker, a blonde model got naked from the waist down and had her bare legs painted as if she was wearing a pair of denim skinny jeans with pockets.
Then the young woman went outside to test people’s reactions, where she crossed busy roads, shopped in crowded  malls, rode escalators and even stepped on to a packed train.

The jeans looked so realistic that none of the passers-by seemed to notice the girl walking without her pants right in front of them.
However, at least one of the observent men saw that someting was not right with the model’s behind and took picture of her derriere on his mobile phone.
The video ends with the woman taking off her backpack to reveal the words on her t-shirt: “No pants are the best pants”.

And only after the slogan became visble people stoped to take a closer look at the model’s ‘jeans’, some of them asked for a photo with the half-naked model.

Several months there was also a story about.

Since 1996, Victoria’s Secret has made a bra and underwear set out of diamonds and stones and chosen their favorite model-of-the-moment to wear it on the runway at their annual fashion show. Its first incarnation was a paltry $1 million and Claudia Schiffer was given the honor to show off the diamond encrusted piece. In 2013, Candice Swanepoel wore a $10 million lingerie set and last year, the brand made not one, but two costumes with Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima getting to hold hands while covered in blue and red  baubles. So maybe realizing they reached peak excessiveness, this year’s bra is just $2 million and only one Angel got plucked to show it off.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death in July struck a painful blow to the 22-year-old’s family, who is still coping with their loss.
Now, for the first time, Brown’s aunt, Pat Houston, sat down with Kevin Frazier on Monday's Entertainment Tonight to discuss the events that led to Brown’s hospitalization and how the family is recovering after her death.
As Whitney Houston’s manager, confidante and sister-in-law, Pat was like a second mother to Bobbi Kristina, and she says she was planning an intervention before Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in the bathtub at her home in Atlanta, Georgia.

“When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it,” revealed Pat, who says she also wanted to send Bobbi Kristina to a rehab facility in California, “but it came too late.”
In a lawsuit obtained by ET, Brown’s conservator, Bedelia C. Hargrove, alleges that Nick Gordon injected Bobbi Kristina with a “toxic mixture” before she was found face down in the bathtub.
In a statement to ET, Nick Gordon’s lawyers slammed the lawsuit filed against their client, claiming it is both “slanderous and meritless.”

Bill Cosby and his former attorney Marty Singer will go on the hot seat in a defamation brought by model Janice Dickinson.
In a hearing Monday, a judge granted Dickinson’s request for discovery, including Cosby and Singer, a representative for Dickinson’s lawyer told TheWrap.
Cosby and Singer — who had been representing the scandal-ravaged comedian — parted ways last month.

Dickinson filed suit against Cosby in May, claiming that the model has suffered defamation and emotional distress resulting from denials by Cosby’s representatives of her claims that the comedian sexually assaulted her. “We are absolutely delighted at this victory today. It is going to be a long fight but this one victory is an important victory,” Dickinson’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, told TheWrap on Monday. “We are up against Mr. Cosby and all his money and power and all his lawyers and so we are very pleased that the judge, reading from the bench, made a very thorough and detailed decision in our favor.”
Per the judge’s order, Cosby and Singer will be deposed prior to November 25.
Last November, former America’s Next Top Model judge Dickinson came forward to claim that Cosby assaulted her in 1982 in Lake Tahoe, adding that the comedian gave her wine and pills that caused her to pass out.
“The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man,” Dickinson claimed. “Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen in between my legs.”
Cosby’s lawyer, Martin Singer, quickly and strongly denied Dickinson’s claims, calling them an “outrageous defamatory lie.”
In October, Cosby sat for a deposition in relation to a lawsuit brought by Judy Huth, who alleges that Cosby brought her to the Playboy Mansion in 1974, instructing her to pretend that she was 19, even though she was only 15 at the time, and “proceeded to sexually molest her by attempting to put his hand down her pants, and then taking her hand in his hand and performing a sex act on himself without her consent.” The contents of the Huth deposition will remain under seal at least until December 22, when U.S. Superior Court Judge Craig D. Karlan is expected to review the testimony and consider attorneys’ arguments over whether a protective order should be placed on it. In the past year, Cosby has been accused by dozens of women who claim that Cosby had raped or sexually assaulted then, with many of the women claiming that he drugged them beforehand. Singer has denied the accusations in the past

Premier League - Mourinho remains in job as vital games loom
A member of Chelsea's first-team squad would "rather lose than win" for Jose Mourinho, according to BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Garry Richardson. Sportsweek's Richardson reported that Mourinho's relationship with his player had hit "rock bottom". He said: "Let me tell you what I know on the Chelsea story. My information comes from a Chelsea first team player.
Continuing the series of political jabs at each other, the APC issued a statement criticising their opponent, the PDP’s, spokesperson, Olisa Metuh’s personal attacks on his APC counterpart.
Olisa Metuh (PDP, left) and Lai Mohammed (APC)
The statement was issued in Lagos on Saturday by the APC national publicity secretary, Lai Mohammed.
“With a combustible and out-of-control spokesman like Metuh, there is no way the PDP will survive in opposition,” the statement read. “Metuh has shown, time and again, that he lacks the temperament, presence of mind, sobriety, analytical mind, decency in the use of language and panache needed for anyone to be the face of any organisation, not to talk of a political party.
“It was the realization of this obvious fact that ‎made us to offer to provide the excitable Metuh a crash course on how to function as an opposition spokesman. Unfortunately, it is too late now as he seems to have become totally untrainable.
“Instead of reacting to our sincere advice to his party to urgently rebrand or go down, Metuh chose to unleash his vitriolic tongue on the APC spokesman, just as he has done to the judiciary and many agencies of government in recent times.

A group affiliated with Islamic State (ISIS) in Egypt claimed responsibility for the of the of Russia’s Kogalymavia Flight 9268. Both Egyptian and Russian authorities are sceptical about terrorist involvement.
Images and video recordings have started surfacing online depicting the crash site of the Russian passenger plane that went down in the Sinai Peninsula on Saturday morning. Russia has launched an investigation into the crash that killed all 224 people aboard.
Several radical Islamist groups have called for attacks on Russian targets since it began airstrikes on ISIS forces in Syria in late September.
ISIS affiliate Welayat Sinai, in a statement circulated online, has  it shot down the plane: “As you kill, you will be killed,” referring to Russian airstrikes in Syria. The group did not specify how they brought the plane down but warned Russians and “those who ally with them” that they are not safe on Egyptian soil or in Egyptian airspace.
The Guardian the statement as:
Breaking: Downing of Russian airplane, killing of more than 220 Russian crusaders on board. Soldiers of the Caliphate were able to bring down a Russian plane above Sinai Province with at least 220 Russian crusaders aboard. They were all killed, praise be to God. O Russians, you and your allies take note that you are not safe in Muslims lands or their skies. The killing of dozens daily in Syria with bombs from your planes will bring woe to you. Just as you are killing others, you too will be killed, God willing.
Responding, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said the claim that terrorists brought down the plane by using an anti-aircraft missile “cannot be considered reliable”.
Mohamed Samir, Egypt’s army spokesman, also disputed the claim, saying: “They can put out whatever statements they want but there is no proof at this point that terrorists were responsible for this plane crash. We will know the true reasons when the Civil Aviation Authority in coordination with Russian authorities completes its investigation.”
